WORST STAY EVER!
expecting good, fair service, a frequent traveler, love to travel, appreciative of good service, willing to pay for quality, business traveler

First off, I am here on business. My fiance flew in to see me. I was hoping this place would be romantic yet accomodating. Upon arrival, the hotel staff was rude and insulting. When I was being checked in, the lady behind the counter was very rude and when I asked her for my rewards number, she told me to do it myself. I could not believe it. Every question I asked her, she gave me a hard time. We tried to order room service for an hour or so. No one would answer the phones. I finally spoke to someone the next morning & they said my phone was broken and that's why no one answered. So, they said...

Great hotel with a great location

The InterContinental is right on Michigan Ave and so the location is perfect.  The hotel has its own restaurant and bar, though both close comparatively early.  The rooms are very elegant and clean and the beds are extremely comfortable.  The concierge is always willing to help you with recommendations or directions, if you are new to the city.  Parking here is a bit expensive for $50 a night.  If you have to be away from home, this is the type of hotel that you should stay at. It's great for a business stay or for a vacation.
