The InterContinental Chicago was very nice and I think that it was a good value. My husband and myself arrived in Chicago at about 9am. We knew that check-in was not till 3pm but we wanted to drop off our luggage. When we went to the counter they said that they already had our room ready for us. We were very pleased. The view was nothing specaticular but we were not in the room long enough for it make a difference. The location of the InterContinental is prefect. We walked almost everywhere we went. The hotel had a beautiful lounge with live music. The restuarant has a beautiful view of Michigan Ave. My husband just walked in to see the restuarant but we did not eat there because we found it to me too expensive. Room service was even more expensive. The pool is probably the most beautiful pool I have ever seen in a non-resort hotel. We made a mistake and did not bring our swimsuits. It would have been nice to take a dip in the water after a full day on our feet. The best part was the bed. It was so comfortable. I feel that it is sometimes difficult to find a bed in a hotel that is comfortable and this one was better than my bed at home! I think that it is the perfect place to stay on Michigan Ave and would suggest the InterContinental to anyone traveling to Chicago.

Shopping: Short Walk, If you go in the winter dress warm. It is extremely cold. Dress in layers because of going in and out of the stores along Michigan Ave.
