Small portable DVD players are blossoming in stores and can make long trips with kids much easier on the parents. The Insignia IS-PDVD10, sold at Best Buy stores, is a fine example.

Bottom line: The kids are gonna love watching movies on the Insignia IS-PDVD10.

What It Is

The Insignia IS-PDVD10 is a small portable DVD player with a 10.2-inch (diagonal) screen. The screen is in the modern 16:9 widescreen ratio, the same screen ratio as HDTV broadcasts. The unit's case resembles that of a small laptop computer, with the LCD screen flipping up to reveal the well for a DVD and lots of buttons.

  I have a 9 inch portable insignia but im sure it has the same features. I won this at a party
but, if i new how good it was i would be willing to spend the money about $150 to $200 to have it. It is a very good player. It plays all formats of dvd perfect. Some players are picky about what formats or brand name of dvd disc that play well. This one has had no glitches at all.
 Sometimes i play burned dvd movies, and some players i have used in the past would not play some copies at all. When i got this one i put those copies i thought were bad and they played perfectly. Its great that it is small... review »

A great little player

I love this little player. Works great alone or hooked up to a larger TV. It plays allot of different formats. Only problem I have with it is the very small remote. Buttons are hard to push. It is nice for a second TV for the little ones. My 2 yr old granddaughter just love having her own personal TV, that plays all of her favorite movies.

we just bought 2 of these because our kids homeschool and use dvd's to do their classroom work. having their own players has made this very easy and we can do school wherever we go. i would reccommend this for anyone- not only homeschoolers but for those who enjoy watching dvd's on the go!
