***UPDATE*** After going thru seemingly endless recalls, I no longer use this product. I am personally aware of at least 3 recalls in the last 6 months. While the company did attempt to make good with offering refunds and or coupons for new product, I no longer have faith that this food is safe for my dogs. Now I am faced with the daunting task of coming up with a new brand that all 3, yes, we've had a recent addition to our pack, will love and, maybe more importantly, will be SAFE for them to eat. My 2 beasts are active and healthy and I attribute much of that to Innova Large Bites dry dog food.  The brand came very highly recommended to us when we rescued our male.  He was on it already and we kept on feeding it.  Then we had a chance to adopt our female.  She came to us from a less than desirable home.  When she arrived, her coat was dull grey, not the shiny black Rotts typically have.  Her teeth were yellow and her breath was awful...almost as bad as her awful gas!  About a week after introducing Innova into her diet and some vigorous brushing she started to become the black beauty she is today.  She continued to improve with less gas and whiter teeth.  I know the brand seems a little pricey but when you realize how much less you have to feed, it actually works out to be quite economical.  They also have great, well formed, small BM's which tells me that they're getting all of the nutrients out of this great food.   Thanks Innova for a great product! Quality of Ingredients Recall after recall after recall is a good indication that the quality of their ingredients is not what it should be.

I have a black lab mix that is 9 years old.  A few years ago she developed an ear infection that would not clear.  The vet ruled out all other health problems, so I decided to try a wheat free dog food.  I originally fed her IAMs.  When I started to research the foods, I was appalled.  I could not believe some of the ingredients that were in "grocery store" dog foods.  No wonder so many dogs seem to have health problems and cancer, etc.  I settled on Innova because it was wheat free and also was made with high quality chicken.   I tried a sample bag first to make sure she would eat it.  I would suggest switching over slowly, as this is a much better quality than what most dogs are used to.  Her ears have not only cleared, but her coat is thick, black and so shiny.  She also doesn't have a doggy odor, which I have noticed on some older animals.  She loves this food.  My only complaint is she likes the small bites and this is not sold in the largest sized bag.  I have to buy the next size down, so I usually end up getting 2 at a time.  My dog loves this food, and seems to be healthier and more energetic since I started using it.  She also loves the biscuits, but I buy the small size because we dont' want her to over snack. I NO LONGER USE THIS PRODUCT SINCE THE FACILITY WHERE IT IS MANUFACTURED WAS BOUGHT OUT.

If I could give it zero stars, I would. Quality of Ingredients UPDATE: Horrible since it got bought by P&G, which happened shortly after I did my first review, which I have deleted and updated with this review. They changed the quality of the ingredients and there have been many sick dogs, including my two. Both had horrible allergic reactions, and it took months to figure out what it was. Basically I was making my dogs sick by feeding what I thought was good food. The one dog ended up with a staff infection that we are still treating 6 months later. I am glad I found the articles on the internet about the changes in the owner of the food and the changes they made and did not change anything in the list of ingredients. I would not recommend this food to anyone. Please, Please do not feed this to your dogs!

 have tried many different dog foods.   I have a little pomerian who is the light of my life (besides my daughter LOL).  We were using a  food we purchased at costco. The price was right and my baby really seemed to like it. But we were buying a puppy version because my little one needed a small bite size. Well the vet yelled at me and said too much fat. So we had to switch. At about the same time I saw an offer online for a free bag of dog food. So I filled it out and was mailed a coupon. We went to the pet store where the coupon could be reedeemed and picked a bag on innova.  We had several choices to pick from but the innova fit what we needed most. So we started mixing it in with her usual food and we were so surprised to find she really loved it. She seemed to like it better than the costco brand. I love that it is more natural and has great ingredients. Seems to be  a healthier choice for my baby. The only con is that is it expensive and they don't have a small bite low fat. WE are using the regular low fat and she doesn't seem to mind the size. Innova makes excellent products. Innova Adult Dry Dog Food (in the green bag) is outstanding. When I first rescued my dog, jh had hot spots and dry, itchy skin and he would chew the fur off and even sometimes scratch until he had scabs. After switchign him to Innova (from one of those crappy regular brands like Pedigree), all his hot spots disappeared, he stopped itching, his coat is soft, shiny and beautiful, he looks incredibly healthy and I get compliments whenI walk him on how good he looks. He also likes the taste of it and is full of energy. Innova is made with ONLY human grade ingedients-I won't feed my dog any of that crap that has by-products and other ingredients deemed unfit for human consumption!!! Innova offers excellent nutrition and I guarantee after a couple of weeks of feeding your dog Innova dry dog food you will see an improvement in your dog's overall condition. I got a free sample of this brand of dog food, otherwise I probably would not have bought it on my own. I'm glad I did though because our sweet Beagle LOVES this food!  We usually feed him Beneful, which he actually does like, but he usually sits and stares at it before he starts eating.  After the first bowl he can't wait to eat and it is gone with in minutes and he just stands over the bowl wanting more!  I gave it four stars because it is pricey and i can only find it at a specialty dog store in the small town where I live.  But with the way my dog loves it I'll be sure to buy it for him as a treat every now and then.  I would definately recommend this dog food to anyone who loves their dog and would like to give them a special meal.  I will probably stick to the cheaper dog food and I know my dog will be sad.  I know if our 'Moose' could type he would for sure give it two paws up!!!!

When the dog food recall came about, I decided I needed to do my research as what was coming out in the open scared me.  I felt bad that what I thought had been good dog food was really filled with crap fillers and by products that can typically come from diseased animals.  After researching what was in the dog foods and what I had available in the areas I shop, I came to Innova Dry Dog Food. I have 3 rottweilers and they are like children to me.  One is allergic to chicken, so I feed her Innova EVO small red meat bites as it doesn't have chicken in it.  Her coat improved 100% from when we adopted her.  She is happy and healthy.  My other two are not allergic to chicken so I feed them the Innova Dry Dog Food.  They love it and are doing extremely well on it.  I do not have to feed them as much as I did the regular store shelf brands.  It is a little pricey, but not too much for my babies.  I measure their food morning and night and their weight is at perfect level.
