Top on our Christmas Wish list was new bath toys. By the time Z-Man came there were very few bath toys left that were still good and that he could play with. Hi aunt was more than happy to oblige and bought the Infantino Tub O' Toys Bath Gift Set.

O' The Toys

To a baby's delight, the Infantino Tub O' Toys contains a plethora of bath squirt toys, in a handy bath set container (the container is disposable.) The 10 different animals come in three different sizes small, medium and large and are not really from any particular area or theme. Each of the animals is very cute with a characterized smiling face and bright colors. Of course each is made of squeezable plastic.

Large Animals: Polar Bear, Hippo, Elephant, Seal

Medium Animals: Octopus, Whale

Small Animals: Star fish, Fish, Frog, Dolphin

There are 2 factors to me that make up a good squirt toy.... 1) it has to be easy to use for little hands and 2) having minimal molding potential. In this set, the majority of the toys are easy to fill and squirt. Exceptions would be the frog, octopus and hippo. The hippopotamus squirts out of his open mouth, which does not allow you to squirt well. This then leads to the second condition, being mold free. What could be worse than squirting your baby and having a chunk of mold come out? I've had some toys, in a matter of days mold after not being emptied properly. So far after a month of use we have not had any issues with mold. And we're not really very good about emptying them every night either. I do have concerns about that hippo though as it's difficult to get all the water out of him.

O' The Play

About half of the time the boys do bath time together, primarily out of convenience. This being the case I need to make sure there are plenty of toys available for them both to share. This set has a good amount and a good variety of toys that there is minimal fighting over who get which toys. My 3-year old is getting the hang of squeezing the animals to fill and then squirt the animals properly. The boys both just love getting squirted by the toys. And... all of them are just the right size for the baby to get his hands on to either play with or just gnaw on for a while.  Also, being that each of the animals is a different color, we are able to talk about what the animal is, the sound the make and what color they are.

We did receive this as a gift but it appears to be selling at Wal-Mart for around $10.00, which is a pretty good price for the amount of toys involved. Since there appears to be minimal molding at this point I'd call the Infantino Tub O' Toys a success.

These are definitely a good choice is you're looking to add to your tub toys. I used to bathe them together all the time until recently when it actually became more difficult than it was worth do to the arguments of who got to sit where. Thanks for stopping by.

The girls are very into their rubber duckies right now, we even sing the song, but I have seen these and wondered if they were a good choice -- yep - my girls end up in the tub together to! Saves me time and they have more fun.

I think I'm just an easy target when I am overseeing bath time. Sometimes I come out so wet that my best friend has to give me another shirt. Lately, I have gotten wiser and I put a towel on my lap to try to catch some the water splashing in and around the tub!

Thanks Gigi... They haven't been too bad about getting me and the floor gets it just from their splashing in general. It's their bathroom so I really don't stress too much about it though. Though I have gotten myself with that dolphin squirter... he shoots a little funny sometimes.

Great review and I am sure the children are loving these. My concern with squirt toys is where the water ends up; usually on me or the floor ;+) ~Gigi
