IU is a good school if you go by the classes and the teachers, but it has a party reputation for a reason. One look at the student body will tell you how serious they are about their education. It's easy to fall into the mindset when you're surounded by it. The majority of students show up to class in sweats and half-asleep. The larger the class, the less likely that more than a third of the students are awake and actually interested in the material. The parties on campus are outrageos and by the dozen.
