Inderal, and its generic cousin, Propranol, are an older chain medicine which is called a Beta blocker. It helps to reduce the heart rate and blood pressure of those who use it It kind of "lubricates the heart system, making it work more efficiently. It is also commonly prescribed for anxiety as it does two things to eliminate the physical symptoms of it. It reduces the racing heart rate, and stops any shaking or trembling.
