independent brand skateboard trucks have always been the ones that turn the best while still being "built to grind," as they say. yes, they grind well. there must be something in the alloy or how it's treated or cast or something. just in case anyone thought independent wasn't keeping up with the trend of offering a low geometry truck, well, hey! they do. if you like that down low feeling, then here's a great truck for you.
now, keep in mind, most skaters that like low trucks like them because they do a lot of flip tricks, etc. however, me? i'm more of a snowboarder who returned to skateboarding, and i can't do any of those yet. however, i still like the low feel of low trucks.
one thing: when you buy the koston lows, they come with these hard, black bushings. maybe that's the way eric likes them; but many of us don't. i switched out the bottom bushing with the bones hardcore soft bushings. however, if i were to switch out the top bushing (bottom and top, referring to if i had the board upside down, with the deck on the ground), then i would have to sand down the replacement bushing. the short kingpin makes the truck compatible with less of the after market bushings out there.
