This movie features Cameron Diaz as both a free spirit but also a caring granddaughter and sister who learns what it is like to live in the shoes of her sister played by Collette. I enjoyed seeing Shirley be a grandmother who tries to make the sisters get along and learn to appreciate their differences as well as similitaries. I would recommend this for sisters and best friends. It is not just a "chick flick" but a family flick despite its predictable ending.
