I plant these flowers every spring.  They are great because they're very easy to grow, and they don't require a lot of sun.  I plant them in a partly shaded area, water them a few times a week, and buy fall you wouldn't believe how much they've grown!  They multiple fairly quickly, and then they start growing taller.  The entire flower bed is full and vibrant with color after just a few months, but by fall they've blossomed into full maturity and are just gorgeous.  They die when the weather turns cold, and the I just replant them the next year.

They come in several colors.  Pinks, purple, white, and even peach.  Even if you don't have a lot of money to invest, just buy a few of them and watch how fast they grow.  You'll have a full flower bed in just a few months.

They're very inexpensive too.  I usually pick mine up at Walmart or Lowes for a few dollars.  Impatience don't have a lot of fragrance to them, but they are beautiful.  Just be sure not to plant them in direct sunlight, because that will kill them.
