My son is my brother in laws God son so on his birthday last year he decided that he needed to spoil him.  I was really surprised when he brought my son the Imaginarium Rid on Railroad ride on train.

As you can see it is quite a large track.  It has 19 round feet of track, an engine, and a freight car.

The track is easy to set up one piece just snaps in to the next to form a circle.

The engine is battery powered by a 6 volt rechargeable battery, that has  a 120V input.  It also comes with a battery charger.  The battery charger plugs in to the wall and it takes 24 to 48 hour to fully charge up the engine.  Because of the electrics involved the manufacturer does not recommend the toy for those under 2 years of age.

The engine in large enough for a 2 to 7 year old to sit on and ride around the track.  The engine has a steering wheel that has five different sounds on it.  Including a train sound, and a train whistle.  The child makes the train go while pushing a button.  The engine is red  with yellow wheels, a yellow steering wheel, and yellow back safety bar.  There are stickers on the side the say "Railway Express" with Imaginarium in the center of the letters.

The freight car has a lid on it that looks like a stack of logs.  The lid comes off though and there is some space inside of it so kids can put what ever they want in it to haul around in the train.  The freight car be un-attached from the engine, and hooked back on at any time, and is easy enough for a child to do buy itself.

Obviously this is a really nice toy and the $199 price tag reflects that. The only real problem with the train is that it takes so long for it to charge.  The child can ride it for a couple of hours, but then it needs to be charged up and that can take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours.  This is really frustrating for an enthusiastic child who wants to ride his train.  The child can of course use their legs to pull them self around, or my son liked to push his train.  Someone could push the child too, but of course they have to really careful, children pushing other children could lead to problems as the riding child could fall.  You also need a lot of space for this train obviously.  We kept ours in our living room for a couple of weeks after he first got it, but eventually had to move it to the basement.

This is a really nice toy.  Really well made, and sturdy, and of course to a kid who loves train super cool.  I do recommend it although with some small complaints.

My son would go nuts with this thing... but that price tag is waaay out of our range (even grandpa's range.)
