Awful smell, so much stronger than any other similar product, to the point of giving me a burning tongue, sore throat, and a headache. The product never did get "hot" on my skin, it stayed uncomfortably cold until I was forced to wash it off (and change my clothing!) Terrible, terrible stuff. I did not feel it was comfortable once applied, and would not recommend to anyone, ESPECIALLY if you are odor-sensitive!

I had always used the gel version of Icy Hot and had success so I decided to give the medicated spray a chance. The smell of the spray is slightly different from the gel, but it's just as strong. When I sprayed it on my sore shoulders I had my mouth open and some of the mist caused me to gag. Instantly on contact the spray cooled my shoulder and preceded to warm up. A couple drops of spray trickled down my arm and I was amazed by how a tiny amount was able to be effective in heating up my bicep. After using this spray over the course of several weeks I found it to be better than the gel version because it doesn't leave any residue behind and evaporates minutes after applying, while maintaining its effectiveness. The only issue I have with this spray is that either I'm spraying too much or there's not enough in a can. When I push down the top the spray just shoots out of the can with a decent amount of force. A 4 oz. bottle will only last me about 3 weeks, but luckily this product isn't too expensive so I can always buy another.

I've tried several Icy Hot products but when I saw the spray available online I picked up a supply. I figured it would be much less messy than the cream. For everyday achy muscles from overexertion this is a great alternative to pills. It targets the area you need it in and nothing else. What I love about the spray above the creams or balms is that this is super easy to use. You just spray it on and you're ready to go. It dries almost instantly, unlike the cream which takes a bit to absorb. This also, thankfully, sprays in any position, even upside down! So you can get those tough to reach places without the container refusing to spray. This does share the menthol type smell of the other products in the line but it doesn't seem as strong and overpowering. This seems to go to work almost immediately and in under an hour I feel like my usual self again. It isn't particularly long lasting though. Sometimes, but not often, I find that I need to reapply it after a couple of hours. Overall, this has become my new favorite product from the brand and is a great alternative to creams. It does not stain, is completely non-greasy, and dries super fast. Plus it works! I definitely recommend it!

Once again a year of teaching on my feet all day has left me with severely aching feet and a throbbing big toe. The last thing I wanted to do is spend my summer laid up with a heating pad or taking too many pain tablets. I thought the spray would be great for me as my hands are quite sensitive to various creams and medications. I love the ease in which you can cover a large area with the medicine without having to touch the cream. Instantly the medicine made my heels and toe feel tingly and warm. There was a nice feeling of warmth that came over the area and I was able to walk with greater comfort and had fewer moments of shooting pain in my heel. I used the spray as soon as I got up in the morning and the comfort lasted until the evening. I again sprayed my heels and toe at night and the stiffness and tenderness eased tremendously. I want to give a tip: please use this in a well ventilated area. I once used this in my car and the odor was quite strong. The formula is a little runny when you first put it on. I made sure to hang my feet and heels over the edge of the tub.

I have been using all of the types of product Icy Hot is producing to figure out which ones are the best and which are least effective for my body personally. The spray for me was actually substantially beneficial for me, just barely falling short of the regular results that I typically see from some of the other Icy Hot products. Specifically because since I am spraying the medicated solution onto my body as opposed to a heavier cream or patch it feels like I am not getting quite as much of it applied to my sore and achy areas. Of course it is obviously a little bit more convenient in terms of quickness of application and a virtually no mess hassle. But when it comes to me relieving body pains and joint aches I think I would be more willing to invest the few extra minutes applying a thicker cream so that I can get the maximum results possible, meaning less pain obviously.

Having used and liked the Icy Hot creams and gels, it was not so long ago I purchased this Icy Hot Medicated Spray for my trip to and amusement park. It is not unusual for me to sprain my neck while taking a ride and this time was no exception. But to rescue me I had this little Icy Hot Medicated Spray, a life saver in my bag. Earlier I used to carry the cream/gel for the same but I couldn't stop myself from purchasing this spray when I came across one and I had no doubts about it's effectiveness as well. All I had to do was spray on my neck, I needed no assistance. It doesn't need to be spread, so no messy hands too. I felt better in some time and with repeated application I was fine within few hours. This has become my On-the-go pain reliever for now. One can sprain any moment, I remember spraining my neck once while tying the shoe laces. Funny, right? But not so funny when the pain continues. Hands down, I will recommend Ice Hot pain relieving products to anyone.

I am not a huge fan of IcyHot. I just feel like there are so many medicated creams, gels, and sprays for muscle pain on the market that you can find many others that are stronger and last longer. However, IcyHot is the only one I have found that comes in a spray and that won't break the bank. It is both affordable and convenient. I usually use the gels and creams at night before going to bed or before putting my pajamas on because I do not mind for my pajamas to smell like menthol. However, I like to use patches or sprays when I am putting my good clothes on so that I do not get it all over them. I use the IcyHot spray when I need something quick and do not want to rub cream into my muscles for 10 minutes in order for it to work and not make a mess. IcyHot has done a great job by creating a spray, but they need to improve their product just a bit and make it just a little stronger and last a little longer. Then it would be perfect!

I have been using the cream version of this same product.Overall i like it,is faster,easier to apply and not as messy.It has helped me with my lower back problems.Since that is an area not easy to reach by myself,the convenient bottle allows me to spray directly with no need to rub on like when using the cream.I might switch to this version definitely since is very convenient and there is no much diference within the price with similar products.Innovative,long lasting cool new product.A must in everyone's medic kit.

This is the most amazing miracle ever! It's a spray that will medicate you wherever you need even upside down on your back!!!! I never expected that! In fact, not only is the medicated cream easy to apply, it actually worked! I went from icy cold to icy hot and then wonderful comfortable no pain/happiness. I have multiple sclerosis so when something does work on my muscles, I get excited. It is better than my heating pad and you do not use this with a heating pad so I just sprayed it on and then it worked after about three minutes. This was the first time that I have used a non cream for my muscle pain. I did try the cream version of Icy Hot last year so I knew that it worked but I wanted someting differentthat I could get on my back without asking my spouse to help me again. The spray worked every single time I pushed the white push sray-button on the can. It is four fluid ounces that gives me maximum strength pain relief fast! I sprayed my arms, my back, my legs .......front and back of my legs. The muscle spasms and cramps along with the tense muscles hurt before I sprayed then I got relief. This medicated spray is great for back and leg discomfort. It's made by Chattem and is 16% menthol.

i had an injured knee and sore muscles and have used this for both problems, it completely relieved the sore muscle problem and reduced the pain in the knee considerably. I love the spray because you do not get your hands dirty or messy best of all. it does **not **need to be rubbed in! That was a BIG plus for us. Oh yes, it's long lasting, I found that I can spray it on in the morning and do not need to reapply it till bedtime. My mom has Rheumatoid Arthritis and can't take internal medicines and we find this gives her some relief. The smell is a medicated odor some people find it objectionable but I didn't find that to be the case it wasn't greasy though, it did dry quickly. Once it dried the odor wasn't as noticeably as when I first put it on. its advisable to avoid inhaling the spray mist and fumes, we usually move out of the air until it dissipates. It sprays at any angle, this was great when I was bending over to get it to the back of my leg. Note the name says Icy Hot but I have not found that it gets hot or even warm. I am glad for this as I have sensitive skin and extreme heat is painful. I have fibromyalgia and find this helps with this problem as well.
