This is one product my husband loves, he swears by it when his muscles are sore and painful. When applied to the area needed you'll have several hours of concentrated pain relief. Perfect for lower back strain, it provides a cooling sensation that also warms for comfort.

Having had a very sore muscle in my neck that wasn't going away, I cut one of these in half and applied it exactly where needed. It goes on against the skin quite cold but in time you can feel the heating action as well, it's kind of an odd sensation really but not totally unpleasant.  I slept with it on all night, the scent was a bit annoying but no different than say a muscle rub or balm, probably a bit lighter actually.

When I woke up I felt like a new person, the painful stiffness was all but a memory and the patch stayed in place all night doing it's job. I've recommended these to many people including my sister who often experiences low back muscle strain, she gets relief within a few nights of using the Icy Hot Medicated Patch, needless to say she is also a fan. 

Honestly, to be pain free is worth anything, these work and are worth the price as you get real results, especially if you're not one to take an oral pain reliever. Very good OTC pain relief product.
