We love this airline very much, each year we fly to Germany with a typical stop in Iceland. The service is one of the best we have ever experienced. Everyone is extremely friendly and help you whenever you need it. The food is delicious and the planes are extremely clean. I would extremely recommend this airline for anyone traveling internationally!

This was one of those flights from work where I did not have a great deal of say in the flight that I took and I ended up on an Iceland Air flight. As usual, I poked around online to learn a little bit about my upcoming flight and did not find many pleasing reviews. I was expecting a horrible flight and was pleasantly surprised when none of those horrible things actually happened. In addition, I think that was one of the best meals I have had on a flight in a number of years. Service The customer services representative I spoke with at the counter at the airport was extremely helpful while I was checking my luggage and relocating my seat. In-Flight Accommodations Iceland Air has above average in-flight accommodations offered to their travelers. The meal that we were served on the flight looked like it came from the kitchen of a five star restaurant, not the tiny kitchen of an airplane. Airplane food with flavor - who knew?

I've only flown on Iceland Air a small handful of times. Based on where I travel most often, which is usually within the United States, I don't find myself with many opportunities to fly Iceland Air unfortunately. They have fairly limited routes, but if they are an airline option for where you need to go and you have the opportunity to travel with them - please do! My experiences with them have been pleasant ones. Their planes are nice, new looking, and consistently clean. Their agents, stewards, stewardesses, and pilots are all very nice and friendly. They take lovely care of their clients and have wonderful customer service, and from what I can remember on my last trip with them, we were treated to excellent in-flight amenities of food and drinks. They were reliable, safe, comfortable, on-time, and the flight was smooth, easy, and relaxing. Overall, I was incredibly pleased with the airline and would gladly fly with them again, should I travel to or from Iceland in the future.

Flying to Iceland in April was my first international flight, and I had no idea what to expect. The flight was about 6 hours, but unlike other cross-country flights I've been on of a similar length, this one was much more comfortable. You're given a bottle of Icelandic Glacial water upon boarding, so you don't need to wait for beverage service, which is nice. Each seat has an inviting Icelandic saying on the headrest - a cute touch. Every seat has its own video monitor and access to a plethora of free movies and TV shows to watch, as well as informational and tourism videos about Iceland. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I was fortunate that both of my flights had open seats, so I didn't have someone sitting right next to me. Since I had a bulky winter coat with me, it was nice to store this on the open seat. Regardless, I felt like there was ample leg room, and the plane didn't feel claustrophobic like planes sometimes do. Because I had such a nice experience with IcelandAir, I found myself telling my friends about it each time I spoke about my trip. We also booked all of our hotel and tour reservations through IcelandAir, and everything worked out great.

Yes, you still have to pay for luggage but who cares! This airline is great! They have words in Icelandic with their English translation written below on every seat. You have a wide variety of music/movies/etc to look at free of charge. When I went to Iceland, I got to watch the Hunger Games for free which was great because I didn't think I had seen it in the stores to buy or rent. You could also track where you were on your flight and how long you had to go and such. I thought that was something neat that they did. The seats are a decent size! The flight attendants are great! The food (even though you have to pay for it) has a great menu that has both American and Icelandic dishes!!! It's just a great airline to fly! On the way there, we were also given a free sample of the Icelandic yogurt, skyr. That definitely beats the tiny package of peanuts domestic flights used to give us! Service Loved everything about it! Very accommodating, answered questions, and felt comfortable! In-Flight Accommodations Many options to keep you busy!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! For our 6.5 hour flight home from Europe I was seated next to an extremely obese lady who literally took up half of my seat as well, and my leg was dripping with sweat off of her leg. They were lucky I am of tiny stature, there is no way even a normal sized person would have fit in my half of a seat. As the plane was full, we talked to the sterwardess about issuing a refund for my long uncomfortable trip home, who assured us their customer service was fantastic and they would definately do something about it... Apparently that was just to keep us quiet the rest of the trip, because phone call after phone call they said they were still looking into the matter, and finally today, nearly 6 months after the trip the email saying it is not their fault and will not be doing anything.

I love this airline!  Great prices, great service, nice airplanes, and old school flight crews who actually understand customer service.  Unbelievable!  Icelandair is a low cost airline offering great fares to many European destinations via Iceland. They offer non stops from Seattle, New York, Boston, and Minneapolis to Reykjavik, Iceland, with connecting flights all over Europe.  Connections are well timed and easy as this seems to be the main function of the airport for supporting the national carrier.  Best of all, they offer layovers in Iceland for no charge allowing you to explore this incredibly interesting and beautiful country before continuing your flight on to Europe.  Icelandair flies all Boeing 757-200 aircraft, offers a seat back entertainment system with many viewing choices, and has no baggage fees.  I love em'!   As it's in the discount airline model, beverages are free, but alcohol and food need to be purchased.  I'll fly em' again for sure.

i love this airline, the seats are room and the food is actually decent. Plus, the in flight shows are funny, good movies but alot of weird stuff in icelandic.  Ice land air has the cheapest flights to europe if you're flying from the midwest.  yuo also get free layovers in iceland.
