I've always loved mints and hard candies but entering middle age, I've had a change of heart with all the sugar content and calories of such treats.  Trying to find sugar free mints that also taste good is much harder than it sounds.  However, I hit the jackpot when I picked up a colorful round container of Ice Breakers Sours Tropical.  I had tried other minty flavors of Ice Breakers that served to freshen my breath, but the Tropical flavors this little box contained were nothing but pure pleasure flavors.

Ice Breakers Sours Tropical

Ice Breakers Sours Tropical mints come in a round container like the other Ice Breaker flavors with a bright orange label containing various tropical fruits. The container contains 1.5 ounces of mints and retails for around $1.99 to $2.99 a box, depending on where you buy them.

The box has two openings on the top of the box that are labeled "to share" and on the opposite side of the box, "not to share".  I found this quite comical personally.

This variety contains the following flavors of mints:  Tangerine Passion, Lime Coconut, Peach Dragonfruit and Mango Margarita.  Ice Breakers are made by The Hershey Company and are sugar free.

Each mint contains small colored speckles that represent the "sour" flavor.  The mints are packed with flavor and very enjoyable.

My Thoughts on Ice Breakers Sours Tropical

I really like the tropical flavors in this mix of mints.  The mango margarita is probably my favorite followed by lime coconut.

I love the fact that these mints are sugar free.  However, that doesn't mean that they contain no calories.  Sometimes the mere fact that a product is sugar-free is misleading to the public and I wanted to point that out.  Each Ice Breakers Sours Tropical mint contains 2 to 3 calories each (per package).

I think this is a fun variety of mints for anyone to enjoy at anytime during the day.  Children will especially enjoy the tropical flavors if they are a fan of sour candies.

My next mission is to try the Ice Breakers Berry Sours.

I have these in my purse right now. They're crazy addicting. I almost hated them at first then I couldn't stop eating them!

I had the Icebreakers Berry Sours in CHURCH! It wasn't a good idea for one of my nephews to give me one of those. I couldn't scream (we aren't pentecostal) but when my eyes began to water that told the story. The boys got a good laugh and I had a "soul" cleansing. They are good if you can get used to the intensity when you first put them in your mouth.

Sounds good! I learned that sugar free hard candy can be really good when I had a friend in grade school with diabetes. Her candy was almost BETTER than mine! i'll try these :)

Haha, no--I only do one at a time. I find Ice Breakers better on the burn over Altoids, for sure.

No burn from these, huh? Or do you space them out so that you don't have eight in a row?

Good review!
