A few years ago, I had a tiny Chihuahua and he had difficulty eating normal dog food. He was simply too small for the normal size kibbles. A friend suggested Iams ProActive Health Small & Toy Breed Dry Dog Food so I tried it. My dog loved this food and was able to chew it with ease. Each time the bag was opened, he would jump around excitedly. In no time his bowl was empty and he wanted more. I really liked that I did not have to see him struggle with each bite, like he did with normal dog foods. This food is inexpensive and the bag actually lasts quite a while. I recommend this food for toy and small dogs. They won't have any trouble chewing it because the kibbles are small. My dog absolutely loved this food and always wanted more. Quality of Ingredients Iams has pretty good quality dry dog food. Flavor Selection I have only seen one flavor of this particular dog food, but that could just be because of where I shop at.

We have a small Maltese-Yorkie mix dog, eight years old, and she has been eating Iams ProActive Health Adult Small & Toy Breed Dry Dog Food for several years now with no complaints. She does have a very sensitive stomach and she seems to do rather well with Iams. We go through periods where we do change her diet due to stomach upset, allergies, etc. but we keep coming back to Iams, as this is one brand that our vet always recommends. The kibbles are very small and easy for her to chew - almost too easy perhaps, as it seems like sometimes she might eat it without even chewing at all. But she has maintained her weight for years on this particular brand of dog food and she seems to enjoy it. The price is right, and since she is so small, one bag lasts us for quite a long time. It is easy to find at your local Pet Supplies Store, or even most grocery stores carry this particular brand/flavor of dog food now. It's convenient and our dog does very well with it.

My two black poodles are very fussy. This is the ONLY product they will accept for a treat! We have been using small dog bits by IAMS for years and with fantastic results. We have trained them to behave, come when called, stop barking and sit using only this product. Who could ask for anything more?

I dn't know if your dog is a picky eater, but mine sure is. If it's not sent out on a silver platter with all the ncessary accoutrements, then he just refuses to dine. Okay, maybe that's a bit of an exagerration, but seriously, it's hard to find an affordable dog food that's nutritionally sound and yet, has enough appeal for my dog to chow down without me sticking a cheeseburger and french fries on top of it to get his appetitie up. This Iams brand adult dog food is a good fit for my small breed dog. He enjoys it, and eats it without too much coaxing most of the time and I like the affordale price and the great nutrition value the packaging promises. Sure, I could find something cheaper or something hoity toity like Science Diet, but the dog doesn't know the difference. Either way, he'd prefer to eat my steak and potatoes. Sorry Charlie, that's not going to happen! Enjoy your Iams!! It's good stuff, my friend.

My little 3.5 pound chihuahua finds this food easy to eat and seems to like it well enough. She has a tiny mouth and unfortunately, some sensitive teeth and gums so chewing on larger size nuggets is really difficult for her. I used to have to pound some of the regular size chunks smaller for her to be able to consume them comfortably. No more- yay! I like the fact that this brand can be found in many retail outlets: grocery stores, mass marketers as well as specialty pet stores.  The sizes of bags it comes in makes it easy to buy just enough so that we can have "fresh" food each time. Price is quite reasonable and you can sometimes find coupons for this brand that you can "stack" with sale prices to get even more of a deal. We've never had issues with digestive upset, excess gas or poorly formed stools on this formula. I will continue to buy this food for my little gal and would recommend it for anyone who wanted to give it a try.

When we saved our Yorkie she was already on Iams and has been for a while. This dog food makes the dogs breath really nasty, We had a friend tell us it's the same with her dog. Piper(the dog) really likes the food and it isn't to expensive.

  My 3 year old Chihuahua Prince loves Iams. This is the first food I have found that he can actually eat right out of the bag, most food is too large for his little 4lb mouth. The benefits of feeding a high quality food like Iams versus a store brand makes the price difference unimportant. I would rather feed him Iams then take him to the vet with any food related health problems.  Iams Proactive Toy breed has helped me keep my little Prince at a healthy weight. His Dr thinks he is in great shape, his coat is shiny, he is happy and healthy. I give iams a big thumbs up for creating a food just for my little dog.
