IKEA Review Summary

IKEA is known for its unique home furnishings, decor and furniture designs that are quality, inexpensive pieces. IKEA products are quite often seen as "simple" in design making. Statcom says, "IKEA is essentially a supermarket for all kinds of furniture. From the big ticket items (dining room, bedroom and living room) to the tiny stuff (knives, forks, spoons and cocktail napkins), its showrooms are loaded with well made and reasonably priced selections" PearlofAfrika says, "It is a huge warehouse full of great prices and unique, Scandanavian products." Some reviewers like the product, but not the service and suggest Ikea make changes in their customer service to make customers feel as comfortable as their home furnishings do. Keep reading our informative reviews to help you find comfortable home furnishings for you.

The Swedish are coming! IKEA is coming!  If you haven't discovered IKEA yet just wait.  Their rate of expansion has increased and there might be one in your metropolitan area soon.  I've been a shopper at IKEA for years and have convinced my wife, son and son-in-law of its merits.  As I write this... review »

Last Saturday I went to Ikea, Boilngbrook IL. ,for the first time rather then my usually destination Ikea Schaumburg, IL. I was looking for a cabinet and a sink to remodel the bathroom. I saw one in display that I liked. I then asked the person in charge of the bath section to help me get the cabinet...

As a new homeowner, I often frequent IKEA, a Swedish furniture supply store. These stores are only located in major metropolitan areas - each time I've gone the store is packed!

It's a fun trip because you can walk around the display area on the top floor where all the furniture and accessories are professionally showcased.

They have items for bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms, bathrooms and more.

The best part? It's not bad quality for low prices.....I've stocked my house with great throw pillows, vases with bamboo sticks, canvas art and curtains from IKEA and all my guests love the look.

The downside?...

Let me just say that everyone in customer service at Ikea Baltimore was very nice and professional.  I went there two weeks ago to pick up a bed, etc.  I was told that they didn't have anyone to operate the forklift so I could either come back in nine hours or return the next day.  Another gentleman offered me free home delivery which I gladly accepted.  Urban Express is something else, but that's for another review.  Ikea sent me two of the same box.  I called and was told I would receive a call to resolve the problem within two days.  At the end of the third day I was calling them.  Another...

I absolutely love this store. I will say that not everything they sell is top notch but you do get what you pay for. They have almost any home item you could think of and more! This is definitely a great place to go if moving or looking for things to update your home!

Ikea is amazing. The programs are well made but still affordable. i love how the store is broken up into different rooms to show you all of the products that match together. They seem to sell everything except clothes. I'm sure that will come out soon too.

The pedestal of consumerism was for too many years simply known as WalMart. Ahh, but over the last ten years a giant Swede by the name of Ikea has slowly made their way across America from Elizabeth, New Jersey, to Burbank, California, and now the God known only by the little yellow smiley face suddenly finds himself being pushed off his perch. The owner of Ikea now makes more money than the family of the late Sam Walton who founded the famous, or infamous, WalMart superstore chain. Cowboys and cowgirls, there's a new Sheriff in town, and he wears an obnoxious yellow polo shirt.

To me Ikearepresents...

I love to spend a couple hours browsing through Ikea, Tempe. The show rooms allow you to easily envision making your home look as good and organized. They have the most unique problem solving products for your house. The prices are perfect for those moving into a new place or someone with a tight budget. You can also find a lot of the items you liked in the clearance section and still in almost perfect condition.

Ikea is a great place to shop to find all the furniture you need to fill your home or apartment. Great selection for all rooms, patios and gardens. Flexible - to suit the needs of all. Selection is vast and there are choices for all budgets. Found everything to furnish our apartment all for a very reasonable price. Furniture very co-ordinated and suitable for our way of living. Decked out the entire apartment from Ikea and wouldn't venture any further to furnish our living quarters. We have found our furniture to be very durable and it has survived a move and still looks and feels brand new.

Great...

I absolutely love Ikea.  At first when it came to my city, I didn't know what all the fuss was about, but once I got in there, I knew.  It is a huge warehouse full of great prices and unique, Scandanavian products.  I'm the queen of cheap, so it was heaven for me.  I furnished all of my kitchen and linen needs in under $125.  I got pillows, comforters, curtains, pots & pans, dishes, towels, rugs, you name it!  I love going there just to see what I can get for cheap.

Also, I love their breakfasts,  because trust me, I'm there before they open up.

Now, if you're looking for something that's...

If your moving into your first place or new apartment and need some good sturdy furniture to last you while you're still paying off your mortgage, moving fees, closing fees, etc., then IKEA is perfect.  While their furniture may not be the most appeasing to the eye, when put together with other pieces, and dressed up with furnishings from places like Home Goods and Marshalls, you can almost make your space look like it is straight out of the catalog.  For the longest, I wanted two lounge chairs in my space but could not afford spending nearly $300 a piece at places like Target or overstock.com. ...

The product is great but the customer service is the worst. The store in Sunrise Fl don't have Manager material. The Manager Angie laugh at customer situations and the General Manager is  no where to be found.  The store don't return calls and everytime I call a different manager is in duty and when I ask for the Manager that I talk before they said that the person is no longer in the store. Is the worst Customer Service that I ever encounter. My advise to anybody that would like to buy a new kitchen from IKEA is keep your receipts and be ready for a very bad experience. By the way the DO YOURSELF...

Ikea stores a few and between but worth a long drive to get to one we have to drive about 2 1/2 hours to one but you can find so many good buys exspecially on the sales they have wow so cheap in price but not in quality.

They carry anything from silverware to beds and electronics and sofa's they have the rooms set up for you to see how everything looks together for livingrooms bedroom kitchens dining areas even dorm rooms have never had to return anything to Ikea because it last forever.

They have every kitchen gadget you can imagine , rugs from $5.00-$600

Ikea is an all-in-one store for the smallest household furnishings to the biggest furniture. Every "showroom" includes the square footage appropriate for the displayed items. The furniture (Ikea of course) is complimented with a myriad of items you would find in a room with it. (Dishes, towels, etc. in kitchen area showrooms, children's toys, small rugs, tents, and more in a child's furniture showroom, etc.)
Utensils, dishes, toys, and many smaller items are picked up after the viewing areas by the customer. The larger items are retrieved from the warehouse in their cartons. The furniture comes...

IKEA furniture is known to be sturdy and durable. I like them because they look modern but without the price tag of designer furniture. Their products are all fairly priced as they are designed with minimal packaging and ready to be assembled, so they can pass the cost of shipping bulky furnitures to the customers, that is us. And we can save on the delivery charge that most furnitures from other major furniture stores would require, since we are able to transport the disassembled furniture home and assemble them ourselves.

IKEA also cater to the ways some of you prefer, pre-assembled furniture....
