We now own two of these Ikea Poang Children's Armchairs. We bought the first one for our now almost four year old for her first birthday...3 years ago. She has been in love with this chair ever since. She will sit and watch tv or read books or play with animals etc. When our second child got old enough to climb into the chair, there were many fights over the chair. So, in carrying on the tradition, our second child got one of these chairs for her first birthday as well. She loves her chair as much as her older sister. These chairs have got to be the most comfortable chairs for children as much as our children sit in them. There have been many spills etc on the cover and arms when eating snacks and watching tv. The arms wipe clean and the cover removes easily to wash in the washing machine. Unfortunately, our covers have shrunk despite following the washing instructions, making it hard to fit them back on the chairs. Other than that, I highly recommend these chairs. We have had other children come over and they all love spending time in these chairs. The beige cover and light brown wood frame go with just about any decor. The chairs are very sturdy and durable also.
