IKEA Malm Queen Bed —

We got this bed on sale, and was easy to put together (at least for my husband.) Watching him, I was little bit skeptical, because it came with two sets of slats held together by ribbon, and was only held up by some metal bars. However, when we put in the mattress, it seemed to hold up okay. Except every now and then-- the slats would fall off the bars and our whole mattress would sink down on one side. We tried reconfiguring the screws, and it seemed to work for awhile-- but eventually my husband had to put in some screws between the two sets of slats to make sure they stay together so they don't fall through. Ever since then, it's been as good as new. Plus side-- it looks quite nice, and the headboard has a little ledge that's wide enough to hold some essentials for bedtime.
