The IKEA Leksvik crib is hands down the best crib for the price point. It's really that simple - you don't get better value with any other crib on the market right now. This is a sturdy piece of equipment. If you set it up right, it won't wobble at all - in fact, it won't budge at all in any manner. My daughter has a sensory processing disorder and has some trouble with banging her feet against walls and the headboard/footboard of her crib - it has taken more than 2 years of her foot abuse and it still looks brand new. In fact, the only sign of wear and tear I can find is that she's finally strong enough to chew on the rails hard enough that she's putting teeth marks on it. She would gnaw on it before, but it wouldn't leave marks. It's easy to assemble out of the box. I am not handy and if I can do it anyone can do it. It looks just plain nice and if you're into simplicity, it's not fancy or complicated - it's perfect. I can't recommend this crib enough. Especially for the price - AND it turns into a toddler bed for even more years of use. You won't be sorry you bought this.

Couldn't believe how much cribs cost when we shopped around.  We shook each crib for durability, and the Ikea Leksvik held up to the massive traditional cribs.  It's real wood, but the wood thickness is less than most cribs.  Don't let this fool you.  It can take a beating without any damage.  Our two year old is very, very strong, and it easily withstands her kicking, bouncing and shaking. Sure, it's not a big showpiece like a sleigh crib, but it's still very attractive with clean lines, and you can always dress it up with bedding.  It has two height settings, and it's still easy to reach down and pick up your child on the lowest setting.  There's no drop side, which in this age of crib recalls, is a big bonus.  It also converts to a toddler bed, so you get a bit more use out of it. You do have to assemble it yourself, but it's pretty easy to do, especially with two cooperative people.  Best of all is the price.  You'll pay a fraction of the cost and still get a high quality crib.  I would recommend this to anyone.

I needed a crib that wasn't fancy and tall. My boys' room has low ceilings. When I saw this crib at Ikea I fell in love. It's simple, yet beautiful. AND it even converts to a toddler bed. A lovely one! I am super pleased with this crib. It was very easy to put together and strong. It is very easy to move around the room in order to clean, even knowing it is real wood! Best ever!
