A beautiful IKEA french press!

5

This great IKEA french press is great because it allows me to make my morning coffee in a really effortless manner. It looks so beautiful and while this is obviously not one of those really feature packed coffee makers it does get the job done in a quick manner. Brew Performance The brew from this and most any french coffee press is great because it produces a deep, rich black coffee that will put hair on your chin and goes great with a new day. Ease of Cleaning The IKEA french press is really easy to clean in that all you need to do is rinse out the internals and the metal press portion pulls out and can be easily rinsed off. Ease of Use A french press is great because all you need to do is follow the directions in the title to make your coffee for the day lol. Design It looks great on my counter and I would shove it into my car if I could. Durability It holds up well to the daily rigors of use but don't plan on having it overcome heights anytime soon.

I bought this as a starter french press. It was inexpensive and even without directions easy to use. Brew Performance I prefer a french press over a drip system coffee maker. Ease of Cleaning It is very easy. when the coffee is gone simply pull the top of the french press up and out. rinse the coffee off the wire filter and out of the glass jar. If it needs further cleaning you can unscrew the wire mesh and rinse those more throughly. Ease of Use Mine didn't come with directions but I was able to figure it out. Design It is the basic french press design. Durability I had it for two years and gave it to my sister when I got a new one.

Perfect coffee maker

My husband loves coffee, but I don't. This French press is perfect for us, for a variety of reasons: -It is the perfect size for one person to have a cup (or two or three) of coffee, or to make a few cups for company. -It is simple to use, which is great for me, since my dislike for coffee means I have never learned to use an auto-drip. -I do use coffee quite a bit in baking, and the French press is perfect for making just as much coffee as I need. Best of all, there is no electricity involved, nor disposable filters, so the French press is kind to the environment. -The bold flavor that the filtering system imparts actually appeals to me, so sometimes I will have a sip or five of my husband's coffee. I have never felt compelled to have a drink of his coffee when it comes from an auto-drip.

A nice simple means to coffee prep.

The IKEA Kaffe is a nice little French press that allows you to make coffee, tea or anything else that you can press into existence. It does not take too much space on a counter tor table, and looks rather good doing it. Brew Performance The brew is on par with most French press makers and I love everything that it produces. Ease of Cleaning The unit is easy to clean because everything comes out with ease, and while the mesh filter has been known to hold onto what ever your pressing it all cleans up easily. Ease of Use French press coffee/tea makers are super simple to use and the IKEA Kaffe is just as easy to use. Design It is an IKEA product and as such it looks really sleek. The design of this coffee press is simple but very pleasant. Durability It looks great, but don't drop it because it is made of glass and can break with ease.

Does the job, albeit clumsily.

We have two IKEA french presses and they both perform exactly the same. First, every coffee-loving household should have a french press. They have saved us on many a morning when either the electric had gone out overnight or our electric coffee maker stopped working. We also take them camping and on vacation, just in case. Plus, french presses make the best-tasting coffee, and also the coffee with the highest amount of caffeine. But I've had better french presses in my life. The IKEA ones worked well for about a year of irregular use, but then they started doing this annoying thing of pushing coffee out the top of carafe as I would try to press it down. Now every time, it makes a mess. My Bodums never did that. Brew Performance Nothing beats french press coffee. Ease of Cleaning Take it apart and it's like a puzzle to put back together. Ease of Use The concept is very simple. Design Good looking press. Durability After a year of irregular use and washing, now has issues with pressing down properly.

More Than Satisfactory

This is your run-of-the-mill french press, no bells and whistles, and its been serving us well in our house. I have to be careful to use it just right and not get grounds everywhere I don't want them, but after I got to know that gadget it has been just fine. I am happy making coffee many other ways, but some of the household and guests like it specifically prepared this way, and it works just fine. Its great for the RV or camping as well, and its pretty durable; we bang it around a lot, put it in the dishwasher, and it is just fine so far. No complaints. Brew Performance Gets the job done Ease of Cleaning Easiest to just put in dishwasher Ease of Use Simple, not confusing Design Basic in design Durability Handles getting banged up

Excellent press pot at great price

5

Press pots make the best coffee because you control the water temperature and brewing time. This pot is as good or better than pots that cost a lot more. (Some press pots cost as much as some electric brewers!) It's nice looking, but most important it does what it's supposed to do and brews great coffee.

IKEA's Kaffe French Press Coffee Maker Makes my Mornings!

5

After accidentally shattering our first french press coffee maker I decided to purchase a new one at IKEA. The price was right and this french press appeared to be fairly sturdy. While we use our electric coffeemaker for our everyday coffee, this french press is what we break out for the strong black coffee that will keep a spoon standing upright. If you love rich and complex coffee, then this french press is the way to go. I like this one because the base is sturdy. It's also fairly easy to clean. The coffee grounds get caught in the metal mesh filter, but the sprayer on my sink knocks them off rather easily. It is important to keep the coffee grounds rather coarse, otherwise you will clog the filter. We grind our own beans so I've never tried pre-ground coffee, but I don't think it would work well in this. This can make up to 8 cups so it suits our needs just fine. I would recommend avoiding a cup of coffee made in this french press before bedtime; sleep will prove to be elusive.
