Who needs a kitchen table? I'm good with these Franklin stools!

The Case

I just moved into a new apartment recently, and I don’t have a kitchen table. This is partly because I’ve never had a need to buy one and partly because there’s no room for one anyway – the foosball table takes precedence! However, I do have a nice, long counter, and it’s perfect for a set of tall stools. So, without further ado, I headed off to Ikea. I returned home with a pair of 29” Franklin foldable bar stools, and, so far, I couldn’t be happier with them!

The Good

The Franklin stools were $24 each, which is a lot cheaper than most of the other stools I looked at (Franklin also has the same stool at 25" for only $19.99). They're very comfortable, with a back and a footrest, which I particularly enjoy. They fold up easily if you need to get them out of the way, but when they’re out, they don’t look transient, they look like they belong with the rest of the décor.

When I purchased the stools, I hoped that they wouldn’t be too much of a hassle to assemble. I was pleasantly delighted to discover that the only thing I had to do was screw on the foot bar, which took about 2.5 seconds. Quick, easy, painless. And comfortable. Just the way I like my furniture!

The Bad

The only bad thing I can of think of is that the stools aren’t quite as tall as they could be. But that’s not their fault. I don’t like to blame them for what they can’t control. It would just be mean. :-)

The Verdict

Five stars! If you’re on the lookout for stools, Franklin is definitely the way to go!
