The Ektorp line from Ikea is very comfortable and well-made. It is an unbelievable value for the money! The whole line has many colors and patterns of slipcovers which are machine washable and easy to put on and take off. I am very pleased with the quality and looks of this furniture and highly recommend it to anyone on a budget.

This is a nice sofa, considering it is Ikea. I have plenty of Ikea items but I recognize that they are affordable at the cost of quality. I'm curious to see how the sofa stands up in a year or two. Not bad now though.

Ikea Ektorp Sofa w/ White Cover Still Looking Good After 2 Years

I bought the Ektorp Sofa with the white cover 2 years ago, and additionally I bought one extra sofa cover, also in white. I added a little extra stuffing into the seat cushions (easy to do) to make them more plump (personal preference), but other than that, I am amazed at how this sofa and the 2 covers have endured through the heavy use they have received...dog (who "fluffs" it a lot), constant daily use, catnaps, several moves about the room, etc! The frame is strong & sturdy. The covers are thick twill or canvas type fabric, very sturdy and wash well. I line dry them, and love the new, fresh...
