I am on several medications and each of my pills must be taken 3 or more times per day. A few years ago I found a 7-day pill organizer at the Dollar Store that seemed to work fine. Unfortunately, the compartments weren't large enough to hold all of my MS meds along with my vitamins. Once a week, I pull out my assorted bottles of pills and organize them into each compartment. The lids stay open so it's easy to drop the pills into each section. Once I've filled up the weekly pill organizer, I know that I won't forget to take a dose or accidentally take too much. In addition, when I go out to eat I can easily grab the container and have exactly what I need to take at my meal. It's the perfect solution for traveling or dining out.
