i have to tell you this story from the beginning. i woke up memorial day and had this red bump on my stomach thought it was a tick under my skin. apparently everyone thought it was some kind of bite or infection from something. my husband tried to squueze it and it hurt like heck. nothing came out so a friend of mine told me about this ointment called ichthammol 10% ointment, usp.  she said it looks and smells like tar which it does but i didn't care. she said it draws out whatever is in there. so i got some and i put it on and then put a bandage over it. left it on overnight got up in the morning and removed the bandage and to my surprize the bump is smaller and less red. while it was on me i could feel it working as if something was pulling at my skin. so now i cleaned the area really good and i put more on the spot and put a bandage on it and yes i can still feel it drawing, not as much as i felt it the first time but i guess there is less to work on. have to tell you it really does smell like tar but if it works who cares. i will continue to use it til it is gone. works great on removing splinters too.
