While using this food my cats had plenty of energy but after couple of weeks I started to notice my one cat was frequently urinating (much more then usual) I took him to the vets and as told he was diabetic. Iams did not give him diabetes but was told that "Feeding Iams to a cat was like Feeding macdonalds everyday to humans" He gave me a perscription diet and then recommending me going and find a food that had as close of a nutritional break down as possble to the perscription diet.( to give him an affordable diet to stay on) the closest I found and was pet values brand performatran and it is not that expencive. Will never use iams again.
