My Fur Baby Deserves the Best

4

Thundercat likes it... if she will eat it well...you know how picky cats are My Fur Baby is over six years now so I am being mindful about what she eats more so I want her to be around for as long as possible She is still very active and regular and I believe it is related to the nutrients she receives from the cat food Quality of Ingredients I read the labels we don't want to feed our pets garbage this definitely is a high quality product Flavor Selection plentiful however she prefers the chicken but that's always been the case

My cats like it ok

My cats seem to like this ok. I give them a bowl of it during the day & when I get home there's still some left in each bowl, maybe about 2 bowls worth but that's not too bad. Fortunately, I have several coupons for it that saves me alot of money which is why I've been buying it, otherwise, I simply couldn't afford it, though I wish I could. It's definitely one of the best cat foods you can buy for your cat but it's just way too expensive, even when it's on sale. Besides there are other quality brands out there that are just as good but cost less...Purina One & Friskies to name a couple & my cats loved these. When I'm done with the coupons, I'll be switching back to another brand...just not sure which one yet.

Iams is the best for cats

This is like some sort of miracle food or something. My cats absolutely love it, and they are picky, picky eaters. Since they have eaten this food, they have shinier coats and the litter box is not as full- so they are not processing out a lot of filler and junk. I was concerned at first, that they were not eating as much of the Iams as they were of the cheap stuff, but according to the vet, that is because they are getting the nutrition they need. Instead of feeding them kitty McDonald's, Iams is like giving them a fresh salad. At their last vet appointment, they were given a clean bill of health, and the vet said they looked good, and attributed it to the change in diet. They seem to have more energy, as well. I was afraid switching them over would be hard, but after a sniff and a taste test, they dove right into this food and havne't looked back since. I would highly recommend it for a healthy and happy cat.

Recommended by vet, but not our favorite

My cat, Lucy, isn't exactly a picky eater--she will eat whatever cat food we put out for her. We fed her IAMS checken proactive health dry cat food for about a year, and she seemed to do well with it. Eventually we switched (mainly due to cost), and now I can see that she really prefers the taste of this new cat food a lot more than the IAMS. We initially bought IAMS because it came highly recommended by our vet (at least, it was on a list he had made of several brands and types of cat food that are good for her), and while she was on it, we didn't have any complaints. She seemed to be eating enough, her coat was glossy, her stools generally were of the proper consistency and did not smell too bad. All of which were signs that her cat food was meeting her needs. So, the bottom line? While she was on it, we liked it, but once we switched her to something else, we saw that she liked the new stuff a lot better (and the new stuff was cheaper--always a plus).

IAMS Chicken Proactive Health Dry Cat Food has been in our house for a long time. Our cats are seven and eighteen. We switched to IAMS back when our oldest cat was about ten. He was having trouble urinating and we almost lost him. Our veterinarian informed us that cheap cat foods can form crystals in the cats urinary tract and cause a backup. We could not afford the kind of food sold at the veterinarians, but we defiantly couldn't watch our little guy suffer with such a terrible malady. We settled for a happy medium of IAMS Proactive. Our oldest cat always has had a sensitive tummy, and this food seemed to calm his stomach. He is crazy about his food and the food bowl must always be full. I guess that means he likes the taste of it...or he has some mental problems. Probably a little of both. The price for this food is a little high. The bags keep 'shrinking' and the price keeps climbing. While I probably will not switch his food, I am not too happy about the company trying to gouge us customers. Plus...IAMS rarely issues coupons anymore.

My cats love Iams Chicken Proactive Health Dry food

We have two long haired cats and they love Iams Chicken Proactive Health Dry Cat Food. Iams has many flavors of dry cat food to choose from, which includes fish, lamb, and tuna, but the chicken seems to be our cats' favorite. Besides the multiple flavors to choose from they also have ones specifically made for kittens, mature adults, weight control, hairball care, and digestive care. We have tried a few different flavors and our cats will eat any of them, but they seem to like the chicken the best, and they have never gotten sick from Iams food. We have also asked our veterinarian for recommendations on cat food but he feels that if the cats are happy with Iams dry food then we should just stick with it. He does not feel any one brands has a huge advantage over another. The cost of Iams dry food is average. I do not feel it is the cheapest or the most expensive but it is reasonable. I do not find many coupons for Iams food but I do sometimes find it on sale and when I do I load up to save some money.

Our cats like IAMS.

We have been successfully using IAMS for years now, with two cats - one who will eat anything, and one who is picky and has some eating issues.  The one with eating issues can't seem to chew the little pellet type, so I always get the bigger triangular piece IAMS.  I've been able to figure out the right amount to give them each day, and their weight and health are completely consistent.  They seem to enjoy the flavor, the size, the crunch.  It's easy to find this food at the grocery store and big box stores, without having to go to a specialty pet store, so we can consistently feed them the same food while shopping at different places.  I like the different size bags available, depending on what we have room for.  I know it's not the highest quality food in the world, but for the price it is pretty good, I can't complain, and it's better than feeding the poor kitties Alley Cat or something similar.

Iams is all I have ever fed my cats! I trust Iams!

Iams is all I have ever fed my cats! I trust Iams! I have had cats all my life and have been feeding them Iams for as long as it has been in existence. I used to feed them Science Diet, but Iams is readily available in the grocery store rather than going to a pet store or the vet. I like it so much better! What Iams does for my cats is awesome! They eat far less Iams than most cats would eat of the less expensive store cat food brands. Iams is easily digested by their delicate system and causes almost NO litter box odor! My cats love Iams and their coats are shiny and healthy looking. Initially this cat food seems more expensive than some, but they eat far less, so a bag lasts longer! My cats have had NO health problems throughout their lives. Sagwa is 8 years old and Jungles is 3 years old. I have never had them to the vet for anything other than their routine checkups, and I attribute this to the fact that they are eating a high-quality cat food!

Hedgehog owners, choose a different cat food!

3

I don't have a cat, but I do own a pet hedgehog. Hedgehog owners are known for feeding their hedgies cat foods rather than formulated hedgehog food. This is because hedgie food tends to lack nutrition and hedgehogs tend to turn their noses up at it! I bought two types of IAMS cat food to test which one he would like the best, he definitely does not prefer this one! I think it is a good temporary substitute, but he doesn't seem to like the taste, and it really doesn't contain all the stuff needed for hedgies. Not to mention this stuff will make him fat, so I have to let him exercise a good bit more. For cat owners, however, I think cats do like this food. It isn't exactly the tastiest, but my friend's cat seems to like it well enough when we put it in her bowl. Of course, if we put Friskies in another bowl, she likes it better. Iams does seem to provide adequate nutrition for cats though, so all in all, I think it is a good cat food for the price you pay for it.

Iams is great food for your cat.

If you want your cat to be happy and healthy, feed it Iams. It provides a well-balanced diet for your cats specific health needs. It is easy to dish out and leaves no mess compared to using wet cat food. Your cat will love it.
