I Love Lucy, The Complete Series is "one of the best box sets you can own!" 34 discs in all, the six seasons of this television classic, along with three seasons of The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour, including 194 episodes, are in black and white, although the Lucy In Scotland episode filmed in color stays in its original format. Also included is the "much talked about I Love Lucy Movie which was filmed, but never released." Fans enjoy the chance to see the series they grew up with in its entirety, now seeing it as being "great for all ages" and "good, clean fun." I was finally able to save up the money for this much talked about box set of "I Love Lucy," which includes the much talked about "I Love Lucy Movie" which was filmed but never released.
First of all, this box set includes all 6 seasons of "I Love Lucy" plus the 3 seasons of "The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour," which some say is an extension of the original series after it ended. In addition to owning this classic and much beloved series, an important reason to get this is because it includes one episode in color! One interesting feature of the box set are you can see the original theme introductions. For instance, in Season One, I Love Lucy was sponsered by Phillip Morris. So the introduction includes "Phillip Morris presents" and instead of the black and white heart we are so used to seeing, there are Lucy and Ricky as animated characters. ... review »

I grew up on I Love Lucy sitcoms and continue to watch it on cable tv. Lucille Richardo is a housewife who is married to Ricky Richardo, a band leader. Their neighbors Fred and Ethel Mertz are their best friends. Lucy wants to go into the show business with her husband; however, she does not have any talent but will try various ways to prove she has talent. She will do studs to perform but it backfires. Who doesnt love Lucy. She is and always will be the funniest person who ever was on tv. My favorite I Love Lucy episode is "Lucy Gets In Pictures". Its from the series where the gang went to Los Angeles. Other favorites are "Job Switching" "Lucys Itailian Movie" "Ethels Birthday" "Lucy And The Loving Cup" "Lucy Does A TV Commercial" "Lucys Schedule" "Lucy Tells The Truth" and so many more.
I love lucy! I really do! It is absolutely positively hilarious! And there's nothing dirty about it! Kind of makes me wonder why we ever changed from those days, although this show is the one that started pushing the envelope. Hmmmm maybe I'm less of a fan now. They got the beds pushed together and had a baby....
