Hot on the heels of Woot!, more websites are selling a deal a day. One I just purchased from is I Have To Have That (www.ihavetohavethat.com). This site sells a deal a day, a side deal, and a few extras. Prices are usually really good for their deals - and not as junky as Woot's can be.

I Have To Have That sells one deal a day plus one side deal. You can also check past deals to see if there are any left and, if so, you can buy those as well. Shipping is NOT a flat rate. It is based on actual shipping charges and is reasonable but, unlike most daily deal sites, shipping does go up as you add quantities.

The Site

The site sells everything from mini key chain cameras to portable DVD players to high end digital cameras and simple stuff like software and ear buds. They sell one item per day or until the item is sold out. They also sell one side deal - an extra deal - which you can buy alone or with the main deal. When a deal sells out, they immediately put another one up. Emails when new deals are posted help you to keep track of what's being sold.

Once you register, if you want a deal, click on it. They will offer you the side deal and a few other things at low prices for no extra shipping. Check anything else you may want or skip that part and go right to the checkout. You can pay via credit card or PayPal. Shipping is calculated on weight, I assume, and is in the $5.00 -$8.00 range from what I have seen.

They do NOT accept returns unless the product arrives defective. They encourage you to give the item away as a gift or sell it on ebay if you don't want it. Prices are usually very low and most deals are good. Now and then there is some junk, but usually the quality is higher than that of Woot! although the descriptions are not as funny.

I ordered a deal, paid, got an email confirmation and a shipping one. My order arrived in a week and in fine, new condition. I will go back to IHTHT and I am sure I will buy more. I like their quality and the fact that everything I have seen seems to be very deeply discounted. I also like that I get an email telling me of each new deal and what it is so I don't have to run to the site every day to see what they are selling. This is a new site but it's catching on. So far I am very pleased with my experience.

My Viewpoint

I Have To Have That is catching on and, from what I have seen, they sell things people actually want and can use at deeply discounted prices. It always pays to shop around to make sure you're getting a deal, but if IHTHT is selling something you want, don't hesitate to go for it. Just remember, you can't return it if you don't like it - only if it is defective. So be sure when you click that buy button that you know exactly what you are getting. If you do that, I think you will be very satisfied with this site. 4 stars! It would be 5 if they had a flat shipping charge rather than a sliding one.
