Hyundai Tucson - 2007 Review

We traded in our 6 month old MiniVan (entourage) for the Tuscon because the gas mileage was horrific on the minivan and with gas prices soaring we needed something better.  We wound up with the Tuscon Ltd (with leather, sunroof etc) b/c we bought at years end and that was all that was left.  I really don't like the leather but it wasn't enough to not get the car.  It gets at least 5 mpg better than the minivan which is a plus.  On the negative, it doesn't have great pick up and we have the V6 version.  Another negative is with 2 car seats in the back there's NO room for a 3rd passenger in the middle of the back seat and that is a huge downer.  The storage in the way back is minimal at best.  I guess I liked the space of the minivan a lot more but wasn't willing to break the bank to fill the tank.

I think the Tuscon is probably ideal for a couple without children or with just one child.  I find it hard to imagine being able to take this car on a trip and pack it with stuff we'd need since just putting a stroller in the back takes up all the available cargo space.
