Hyundai Santa Fe - 2007 —
I have always driven Hyundais-- my mother got our first one in 1994, the next in '97 which was passed to me and I've just bought a Santa Fe. These cars are great-- really comfortable, luxury feel, and excellent gas mileage for a crossover SUV! Plus, it has plenty of room to haul things around, so while it isn't as great as another Hyundai station wagon would be it's still top notch. Hyundai also has fantastic safety ratings and having been in three accidents in Hyundais and one in a Toyota, the Hyundai was head and shoulders above the other. I walked away from each one with minimal damage to myself and though I had to do some extensive body work, the way the car is manufactured, I didn't have to replace or repair any of the inside workings (aka, the expensive stuff). All in all, I highly recommend this car-- it's safe, luxurious yet affordable, and not too bad on the gas mileage; what more could you want?
