This item has been recalled due to babies having seizures. This product- with this picture on the box is the one that is recalled. Due to the high amount of Belladonna, it was pulled off the shelves. There is a new formulation (with a baby as the picture on the box), that has much less Belladonna. I don't really trust it, so we don't use the product any longer. But, below is my review from when we did use it-- I actually loved it. I am updating this review, and will leave my positive feedback below in case anyone wants to try the new formulation. My son started teething recently and he has been very fussy, sometimes screaming and whining from the pain. A few days ago, when he started screaming, I put three tablets under his tongue. It took a little maneuvering to get three tablets under an 8-month-old's tongue, but once I placed them, they dissolved quickly. Within minutes my son's body relaxed, and he became calm and proceeded to nap peacefully. I have tried Tylenol in the past, and found it was not as effective. Tylenol, too, is full of chemicals, which I don't like to give my son often (unless he has a fever). I am not sure if Hyland's Teething Tablets have any effect on a fever- I don't have any experience with that. For the irritability, wakefulness and pain associated with teething, I feel good about giving my baby Hylands because it is all natural, safe and 100% effective. They are easy to use and work quickly, which makes for a happy baby and a happy mom.

I have a 14 month old and an almost 3 year old. I have used these teething tablets for both of my boys. I started using them when my oldest was about 6 months old and hit a really rough teething patch. He loves them! He even started asking for them. It really helped us to make him happy about taking medicine. These tablets are so small that they really are okay for all ages. The directions say to dissolve them in a teaspoon of water, but I didn't find that quite as effective. It ended up making more of a mess and a hassle than anything. I just give my sons the little tablets one at a time with a maximum of 3 per sitting and let them feel the texture of the ball and chew it. These have helped so much. It is a great, all natural alternative for pain relief for little guys! The Hyland's brand is a great way to go when you as a parent want to try the more natural, or homeopathic route. Keep your eyes out for coupons too!

I love that everyone in the family can use this teething medicine. As an adult I took some after my wisdom teeth surgery over prescription medicine. I love knowing its safe even for my special needs son that we always have to worry about medicine interaction. You can start small or give 4-5 depending on the kid and pain. There is no high fruit corn syrup and no overdosing issues.There really is not a strong taste since they are so small which is great fighting with older kids. I love knowing that I putting things from nature in my kids mouth and that it calms the irritation internally not topically . They dissolve quickly in the mouth any one can take them because of that feature. convenient to travel with you just toss in the bag and go.

This is the only thing that worked to sooth teething aches and pains with my little ones. With my first, I tried orajel first, but he hated it, and after the initial shock wore off about the taste, he still cried. I moved onto this product after my sister in law recommended it. It worked great! He ate it like it was candy (i.e. he loved the taste) and it works very fast which is what every mom wants in a pain reliever for their little one. And since it is all natural, I don't have to worry about any negative side effects. So, with infant number two, I just went straight for the Hyland's Teething tablets first. She never had any issue with it. Sometimes it would make them tired, but they usually needed extra sleep by the time they were done with a teething fit anyway. I would highly recommend this to any mom with a teether in the home! We stopped even looking at similar products and because this one works so well, it was always in the medicine cabinet just in case!

My son was having a tough time when his molars came in. He's a really calm baby and rarely cries, but the teething pain had him burst into tears randomly and nursing constantly. He was not himslf and we struggled to help him through it while he chewed endlessly on the spines of his books. We have been using these with our daughter and they seem to really help ease her teething pain. We started giving them to her when she cut her first tooth and now at almost two she will readily ask for them when her teeth bother her. The reason I don't give the teething tablets a 5 is because we do sometimes need to use topical gel along with the teething tabs if her gums are really bothering her.

I was introduced to Hyland's teething tablets by the lady I babysit for when she gave them to me for her sons. Why didn't I have these when my kids were teething! They are so easy to use, just pop them in babies mouth - no gel or droppers to use. They work fast and best of all they are all-natural. These little pills work great for relieving teething pain and discomfort. Fast, effective and natural! Avoid Orajel that can numb your baby's throat and try these instead. They are very tiny pills and dissolve quickly in your mouth, so you can slip a few in a baby's mouth or dissolve them in the milk. For even better and quicker relief, get the Hylands Teething Gel. Use a big glob of it - about half the length of your finger and rub it in your babies mouth. You will be amazed at how quickly he/she gets relief and relaxes with this to ease the pain! We have always used natural means for healing and relief in our family, including homeopathy. When our daughter would not sleep at night, we tried various means to help her through her night wakefulness stage. One of the items we tried was Hyland's Homeopathic Teething Tablets. A white pressed powder in tablet form, these teething tablets have a lactose type sweet taste to them. They dissolve easily in the mouth or in water, making it easy for the child to take them. If you don't want to give them to the child as a tablet, you can also dissolve them in water to give them the same dosage. Although we had high hopes for the Hyland's Teething Tablets, they barely touched our daughter's teething nights. Once in a while they might help a little, but many times it was as if she had not had anything at all. I actually got much better use out of a combination of Bach Rescue Remedy in water, and clove oil topically. I might add as an aside, our daughter was also unaffected by Hyland's Calms Forte, a remedy to help with sleeplessness that 1/4 pill usually knocked out my husband or myself. She ate two of them before I could stop her and she remained awake all night long.

I've been blessed with a little girl who hasn't been bothered by teething until she started getting her 1 yr molars. I've been giving her infant advil every night before bed which was working until it wore off between 1 AM and 4 AM when she would wake up screaming. One day this past week I gave her advil in the morning and she was still really fussy. She was doing a high pitch scream and I was at my wits end becasue there was nothing I could do for her. My girlfriend called me at the right time and suggested I try teething tablets with her. I immediately went to the store and bought some. I gave her two tablets aroud 6:30 PM and left to go do dinner with a friend. When I came home at 8:30 I had a completely different little girl. She was laughing at Daddy and smiling at me when I walked in the door. I couldn't believe it! I gave her 3 more tablets around 9:30 and put her to bed. The next morning I was scared to walk in her room because she was still sleeping at 9:45 AM. I went in anyways and she didn't budge an inch. I touched her face to make sure she was still warm to the touch and walked out. Right after I left her room, 2 fire trucks went screaming by and she still didn't budge. She slept until 10:15 AM. She woke up and was a new kid. One I had not seen in a few months. I didn't realize how much teething was effecting her until I started giving her these tablets and she was calm again. I figured she was impatient because she was testing her boundaries. Turns out it was her teeth. It's so nice to have her back again! I would recomment these tablets to anyone. I like the fact that I don't have to give her advil anymore. The other best part is that I'm back to sleeping throught the night again too.
