The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel lobby and restaurant overlooking the Charles River were lovely. Nice location, right next to MIT, within walking distance to Harvard Bridge going toward Harvard Square or over the bridge toward Fenway Park and Boston University, Berklee School of Music,... read full review »

The room was somewhat small and no view. The coffee in room was a cup each, not a pot:. The shuttle service while good, was not available at times convenient due to the size of the shuttle. There was little or no public transportation to get from one place to another due to weekend minimal schedule.... read full review »

Overall, I would rate the hotel 4.5 stars (out of 5) and would certainly stay there again & recommend it to friends. The location is perfect (right on the Charles River) with a T-stop only a 5-minute walk away, a tour trolley stop in front of the hotel & cabs always on duty. The king bed was very comfortable & I slept well. Although the room was a tad smaller than I expected, the bathroom "suite" certainly made up for it. (Lots of space there & very clean.) Guest services & room service were efficient, and all the staff were very pleasant & professional and very accomodating. Only downsides were... read full review »

The hotel in itself is comfortable but it's location of being near the colleges is misleading. Sure it's close to Harvard but it is on the other side of the river from BU, BC. etc.. What I did not like about the hotel was all the extra's that they charge for. Such as parking. I find it ridiculous to seperately pay for a room and a parking spot. Next it was the $4.95 bottled water in the room. It should have atleast been cold water. Check-in (4:00 pm)is way too late in the day. Amenities. Such as concierge (not very helpful). No place to store luggage. Small gift shop. They can do better. The dining... read full review »

The hotel was very dirty. The hallways were never vaccuumed and room service items were not picked up in a timely manner. I walked the stairwells for excercise and they were filthy: cigarette butts; broken furniture; litter. Very unpleasant. The pool area wasn't clean. Gum and wet paper on the floor tiles of the shower and pool area; peeling walls; cold pool. Not kid friendly at all. The restaurant seemed to have a limited menu and was expensive. Not much of a variety. I thought the charge to use the computers in the very small business center was petty. The center needs to be expanded... read full review »

At the Hyatt Regency Cambridge you feel at home the minute you walk in the door. The staff is extremely helpful in any way they can be of service. I like the fact that the bathroom and dressing area are separate from the sleeping quarters, this way someone can be sleeping while you are getting ready to leave at an earlier time. The shuttle service to Harvard Square is a nice convinience saving on taxi fare or the hassle of parking.

Recreational Attactions: Long Walk, The Charles River is right outside your door at the Hyatt Regency. There is a great walkway that you can take all the way to...

My favorite part of my stay at the Cambridge Hyatt was the wonderful pool!Is is a 25 yard lap pool with 3 lanes that are wider than average. It was surrounded on three sides and overhead with windows, making for a nice bright space.I love to swim for exercise and appreciated this facility being so convenient before getting started on our day in the city. The staff was friendly and helpful, too. My only complaint was the nearest subway station was across the river and maybe a mile away. To get to the action in Cambridge, we ended up needing to take a cab everywhere.

Dining: Short Drive, We ate wondeful...

The Hyatt in Cambridge,Ma seems to be all that most travellers need: a place to lay their head and easy access to Boston's downtown area. It's not a bad spot but for what I expected from a chain of this reputation, I was somewhat disappointed. There were no upgrades on the T.Vs,(old tube type), nothing but a radio to listen to (no CD or DVD player) no in room wet bar and we had to call for our room to be cleaned after we had distinctly asked a maid to make up our room. Not exactly what I had expected from the Hyatt chain of fine hotels.

The Hyatt Regency Cambridge offered an excellent guest experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was very ettentive. The location is perfect for anyone wishing to experience the luxury of a city hotel without the high cost. Our room provided a picture postcard view of the Charles River and Boston while being only a short walk from MIT and breif cab hop to Harvard University. I will be making the Hyatt Regency Cambridge my first choice when I return to the area

Recreational Attactions: Not Applicable, MIT and Harvard are minutes away, and the bridge over to Boston is right accross...

The room was very large and comfortable. I liked the way the closet separated the bathroom area from the bedroom area. The location was perfect as Boston University was a short walk across the BU bridge. Also the view of the Charles River was wonderful, especially in the morning when the women's crew team were out rowing.

Recreational Attactions: Short Walk, Short walk to Boston University and the train which takes you to anywhere in the Boston area. Don't miss Quincy Market for any type of food imaginable. Also a short walk to Fenway Park. Make sure you see the Red Socks if they are in town....

The Hyatt Regency was a beautiful hotel and in and very lovely location. Our room had a great view but the windows needed to be cleaned very bad. The hotel is right on the water so it is understandable. The hotel was within walking distance to the underground and it was a scenic walk. I had two meals at the restaurant in the hotel and enjoyed both very much. The luch was the best lunch I've had in a long time. It was of course very expensive and I'm sad to say i paid twelve dollars for a waffle in the morning. Delightful staft and I would recomment staying at the Hyatt Regency.

The Hyatt Regency in Cambridge is now one of my favorite hotels. The room had a balcony overlooking the Charles River and although very chilly, I was able to sit outside and enjoy the view. The room was perfect with plenty of closet space and tons of pillows on the beds. I loved the lobby area with a number of nooks for sitting. The bar/restaurant was comfortable and inviting. A wonderful experience.

Recreational Attactions: Short Walk, It was a lovely walk along the Charles River towards MIT and Central Square for all types of eating options.

I was in Boston for the first time, for a convention, and had no idea as to the whats and where abouts of the town, I stayed with the Hyatt due to the convience of it's location in referece to the convention center. They stay was very pleasant, and the staff and amenities were very fine. If you love chocolate, you have to try the Chocolate Molton Cake in the dining room! It was fabulous!

Shopping: Short Drive, If it is your first time in Boston, check out Newberry Street, great cafes, and lots and lots of specialty stores!

The hotel was great and the staff were great too. Everything was fine but paying for parking was very expensive. We had to pay for full day parking when we were there only after 6 PM and left in the morning by 7 AM. Then we had to pay for parking at the conference too. I know we could have taken a taxi by we would have only saved about 4 dollars on round trip and tip. Other then that little problem everything was great.

Dining: Short Drive, You can walk (long) but driving is better and there are side street parking.

The hotel was very nice but the best of it all was the staff, specially the front desk and concierge. They just went the extra mile to help us on everything that we needed. Food options were not that great as only the hotel restaurant was available and it wasn't that good. Fortunately there are many places nearby where we could go and get a bite.

Recreational Attactions: Short Drive, Couple of blocks away from the T (subway). Also you can walk about 15 minutes and cross the Charles river into downtown Boston.

The Hyatt was a great place to stay for our first trip to Boston. The view from our rom was very beautiful and the hotel in all was very relaxing for us. We definitely took use of the room service and we were pleased. The staff was helpful and nice with whatever questions we had. I enjoyed it and look forward to returning.

Dining: Long Walk, The places to dine were great around Harvard Square. It had a variety of different foods to choose from and the atmosphere was one of a kind.
