I got this machine when my mom upgraded to a H-V Pearl.  I love that this machine will embroider a large variety of designs without the extra cost of add-on designs.  I like the thread being under a cover, meaning it doesn't gather dust while I'm on sewing hiatuses!  This machine came with a hard cover for storing in my sewing room and a great travel case- which meant my sister flew it from my parents house to hers, and then I was able to fly with it to my house, using the machine as my carry-on!  It is heavy, but travels well and is very portable for classes.  It has a huge variety of stitches and I use it primarily for decorative stitching, as I have a heavy duty Riccar for everyday sewing.  This machine is well built and sturdy.  It doesn't jump around the table as I sew, which a lot of lighter machines will.  It was a great deal for me, as it was free, but this would make a great entry-level embroidery machine for someone who doesn't need expansion to newer designs or just wants a few more decorative stitch options!
