fails to pull simple hills after the pump was replaced

1

bought a YTA18542 last year and at the end of the year, had a problem with it pulling small hills. Went into this year and it failed to pull any hills. had it looked at by an authorized dealer and they replaced the drive belt and when I got done mowing, the whole drive system froze up. dealer had it for 8 weeks and they said that there was a large work sheet they had to fill out because it was in warranty. Got the mower back today and it's no better than before. I am totally disgusted with the mower and the service and wish someone at the factory would contact me and see what can be done to rectify the problem and get my mower working. based on the chart sent with the mower, none of my hills are over 15 degrees. I need resolution on this problem.

Sturdy tractor, holding up well after 2+ years of heavy use

5

My husband and I purchased this tractor in May 2012. We have 5.5 acres of land, of which we mow about 3 acres on a regular basis from April to early November. Needless to say, this tractor gets a regular workout. Because we live in Pennsylvania, the terrain can be quite hilly. We do have several flat areas, but the lawn primarily has a slope to it. The tractor has not had any trouble cutting cleanly over uneven terrain. It mulches leaves and sticks under a dozen large oak and maple trees without any difficulty. It does not have the tightest turning radius, but it is appropriate for our needs. We use it in the fall to help mulch leaves to cut down on the raking. My husband is the primary user but I have also used it on occasion. It can cut our entire lawn in about a third of the time of a push mower and does a nice job - no ragged edges and it does fine around trees and shrubs. It is not a high-end machine but it is solidly built and performs well after three seasons of heavy use. We would buy it or a similar tractor again.

great mower. period, dad mows an acre and it has hillsides and many trees. Great turn radius. Great power and traction. It will mow in reverse, has headlamps and cup holders!!!! It is easy to start and the transmission/powertrain is easliy slowed down and the depth is easily adjusted

Really like the tractor mower. Power bagger not so hot.

Love the ride and the mow. The fuel guage is almost impossible to read. It should have a colored float in it or something. We bought the power bagger also. Bad engineering on the shoot. It keeps wiggleing apart and shooting clipping through the break, almost as fast as you put it back together. Durability Engineering on the power shoot is not good.

HUSQVARNA IS BY FAR ONE OF THE BETTER BRANDS

5

ITS FUNNY BECAUSE I AM READING ALL THE REVIEWS ABOUT BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEN DO NOT BUY FROM LOWES BUY FROM A LOCAL DEALER. I AM A HUSQVARNA DEALER ALMOST EVERYONE ON HERE IS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE CHEAPER LINE OF TRACTORS. AND YA IM NOT A FAN OF THE 20K46 BUT FOR THE PRICE ITS NOT A BAD TRACTOR BUT YOU HAVE TO MAINTAIN THEM LIKE ANYTHING ELSE. AT LEAST HUSQVARNA BUILDS THERE OWN TRACTORS. O YA AND THE PERSON WHO SAID THEY SOLD THE HUSQVARNA FOR A CRAFTSMAN P.S. HUSQVARNA BUILDS CRAFTSMAN TRACTORS ALONG WITH ARIENS.

Husqvarna is great quality lawn equipment

I got the Husqvarna 42" Riding Lawn Tractor over the summer to help make taking care of my acre and a half lawn.  Wow, what a great piece of equipment and talk about expediting the job.  It took what was an all day job and turned it into maybe two hours tops.  It makes a nice, clean cut and is very efficient in the size of the cut.  It has a pretty small turning radius, not as tight as a zero-radius cut, but it is quite maneuverable in smaller areas.  I have been very pleased overall with the quality of this lawn tractor and it seems to be built very well.  Not a lot of plastic pieces on it, a lot of good, quality heavy metal construction.  That is one thing that drew me to buying it as I have pretty much always been a consumer of Craftsman lawn products.  I believe the Husqvarna to be a superior product that will last as long or longer than any Craftsman that I could have purchased.  It also has a good amount of information and log sheets for maintanance, so if this is followed, it should extend the life of the tractor.

We just purchased this lawn tractor last  month, I love it! We looked for a long time and this was the best tractor for the money I like the way it felt (seat, stearing) I have been very satisfied this far with it, I just wished I would have gotten it months before!

The 20HP Husqvarna is a great rider, but maintenance is priority

3

The Husqvarna 20HP riding mower is a very reliable machine. I own 3 acres of land that is mowed at least once a week. This mower uses a 48 inch cutting deck with two blades. It is a very dependable mower. The reason I gave this machine an average rating is that you have to stay on top of maintenance. I have owned my riding mower for 3 years, and now it is using oil alot more than normal. I have had a problem with it cranking, and it is in the shop for a broken rod. The problem was that the oil had gotten low. I would recomend this mower to anyone and I look forward to using mine for many more years

Powerfull

I recently for the first time got my hands on a Husqvarna riding lawn mower, and it more then did the job.  I myself and a big guy tipping the scales at 400 lbs.  Last week I was tasked with cutting a yard that I had not done before.  I arrived to see that it was about 5 acres of up and down rolling hills and sharp corners.  I was amazed at the power and grace that this machine cornered and went up the hills with myself being so large.  I was able to get the job done in roughly 4 hours with no problems and was running as well as it did by the end as when i backed it off the trailer.  This thing is a must buy it will lessen the time you spend doing the job and for me thats about money!****
