I wish I had never bought this air purifier!

a cat owner, Mr. Fix-it, picking up after pets, practical, value conscious, animal lover, neat freak, not rich

Run, do not buy this unit! We have had Holmes purifiers in our house for over 10 years to help keep my husband's cat allergy at bay. I finally decided to upgrade to a new tower model for space and asthetic reasons and purchased the Hunter PermaLife Tower Air Purifier 30756 this past May. I thought the roughly 5 yr life of the filter would offset the cost of the unit and all was well and fine... we were very happy with the performance of the unit. It's a tad noisy on the medium fan speed level and you do have to vacuum the filter about every 10-14 days (we leave our windows open most of the year... review »

My Hunter Permalife Tower Air Purifier 30748 Is not exactly what I thought. According to the box I would never have to replace the filter. When I got it home I discovered it had 2 filters. One I would have to replace, the other I would not. I guess Ionic Breeze was the one I really wanted.
