I graduated from Humboldt State in May of 2007, and could not be happier with the education I recieved. I earned a degree in Molecular Biology- and came out with not only the book knowledge, but practical skills to use in my chosen field. The best part of the university is the small class sizes. A lot of my junior and senior laboratory classes had about 12 students or less. It was a great feeling to walk into class and have the teacher recognize you not just by name, but know your story and your areas of interest. In the realm of public universities, it's simply the best. Aside from being an great school, it's located in an AMAZING area. Nestled among the redwood forests, and right on the coast, there is something for everyone. The only drawback is the rain- be prepared for it to be a bit chilly and rainy in the winter... thats how the redwoods grow so high! All in all, a great education for a small price tag, in one of the most beautiful areas of the earth. Take a look at it at www.humboldt.edu, but prepare to be amazed!
