Pros

    can set it to record a show each week, easy to use

Cons
    can't record 2 shows at the same time, requires extra $$ for TiVo subscription

I love my TIVO.  I bought it early, when you could get a lifetime membership vs annual memberships.  When this on finally goes bad, I will immediately go get a new one.  I don't like that you now have to pay monthly fees or an annual membership for the service.  But I guess they have to make money somehow.
