Huggies Soft Skin Baby Wipes Review

I normally buy Target Baby Wipes that are unscented.  They are inexpensive and do their job nicely, although I admit, they are not as thick as other brands.  I received a free pack of the new Huggies Soft Skin Baby Wipes in the mail, so I decided to give them a try even though strongly scented products give me a headache.

Huggies says: "Gently moisturizes as it cleans to help maintain naturally healthy skin. Huggies Soft Skin Baby Wipes with Shea Butter are cushiony thick for gentle cleaning and have a pleasant, refreshing fragrance."

As I pulled a Huggies Soft Skin Baby Wipe out of the package, I noticed two things.  1) The super-strong scent.  I have a major aversion to scented baby products because for some reason, they always seem unnecessarily strong and 2) I noticed that this is a very thick wipe.

This morning I had to clean a "dirty job" with my son.  I pulled out the wipe and went to town.  The Huggies Soft Skin Baby Wipe is nice and thick with a bear pattern etched into it.  I didn't have to use as many wipes as I do with the Target wipes.  The effectiveness of the wipe was perfect, my only complaint is the scent.  It was overpowering.  I do like the fact that these wipes contain shea butter.  However, I wish they also contained aloe and Vitamin E like most wipes on the market do.  The addition of shea butter, shouldn't mean the elimination of aloe and Vitamin E which are healing, moisturizing ingredients.

Although the addition of shea butter is nice, the scent is not.  If these wipes didn't have such a strong scent, or no scent at all, I would have given them 5 stars.  I will not be buying these wipes, but I would buy unscented Huggies wipes because they are so thick and durable.
