Hugger Mugger
Solace Yoga Mat

I've been doing yoga for over a year now. I had no idea what type of yoga mat to get when I started doing yoga. I knew I wanted something soft and comfortable. I also wanted a yoga mat that was bigger than the standard 68" x 24" yoga mat.

I found and bought a yoga mat on Amazon called Hugger Mugger Solace Yoga Mat. The mat measures to 72" x 29" and is the perfect size for me to stretch out. What I like about this yoga mat is it's both a traditional non-slip sticky yoga mat and a yoga towel. It is capable of absorbing more moisture than your traditional yoga towels.

The top of the mat has woven texture that provides additional support and cushioning especially for those complex poses. When you lay on the mat, it feels like a soft rug. The back of the mat has a non-skid bottom that keeps the mat firmly in place while exercising. I've never had a problem with the yoga mat bunching up.

These yoga mats are machine washable. However, I have not tried washing my yoga mat yet.

I would recommend the Hugger Mugger Solace Yoga Mat to anyone that does Yoga or Pilates. If you are looking for a soft and comfortable yoga mat, this is the one for you. I give it 5 Stars!

One requirement I had when I was looking for a yoga mat was the size. I noticed the standard size was 68 x 24, but I wanted something larger where I could stretch out on. They make these mats too small to really stretch out on.

I haven't washed my yoga mat yet. I did vacuum it the other day. My Dyson vacuum cleaner got all the dog hair off of it. I was very careful when I vacuumed the mat because I didn't want my vacuum cleaner to suck it up. When I do wash my yoga mat, I will let everyone know.

This sounds great! I've already gotten rid of two undersized mats. Hope you'll let us all know how it washes.

I know what you mean about exercising! My doctor told me I needed to do some type of exercise. I've gained a few pounds. UGH. Yoga is about the only thing I can do because of the chronic pain and RSD that I have in my foot. Thanks for reading and commenting. Have a great evening! ;-) ~Krista Lynn

This sounds like a really good mat. I like Hugger Mugger products. I haven't bought any of their yoga mats. Keep up with the yoga exercising, I know that is your resolution for this year. xoxoxo, Nikki Leigh

I love my yoga mat. It is so comfy and soft. I hope and pray to keep up with the yoga in 2009. The last two months I have been lazy. This week was my first full week in doing yoga again. I'm starting in the right direction. LOL!

Thanks for reading and commenting.

This sounds like a really good product; especially for people that are doing yoga or pilates on hardwood floors or any other noncarpted surface. I hope that 2009 proves to be a good year for you both physically and spiritually.

I'm going to head over to the game boards for just a short while. It's late and I have to get up at 9 for church ;+) ~Gigi
