When our 9 year old son (now 10) grew out of his current bike, we knew Santa would have to deliver that Christmas. Well "Santa" was on a VERY tight budget that year trying to provide for three kids, of which two needed new bikes.

Needless to say, I started to go through every Ad, EVERY week..ya know...to help the guy out! It was not until two weeks before Christmas when I hit the jackpot! Big Lots was having like a two or three day sale, and there it was...."The Pork Chopper by Huffy". From what I have heard, it is sort of a copy of a Schwinn version. The difference is.....this bike was only $50.00!!!!! Once your kid upgrades to the 20" bikes, they only get more expensive. Usually you can't get a name brand one for much under $100.00, let alone a "Chopper" style one!

Well, not only was our son THRILLED to see that Santa got him a new bike, but he just thought this bike was the coolest thing he had ever seen!!!!! And I must tell you, the neighbors have nice bikes, mountain bikes and other expensive ones, but ya know what? Guess who's bike gets the "Oohs and Aahs" and the "Can I try it"(s)...? My kid's!!! And isn't that just the sign of a "job well done" by a parent...I mean Santa...hee hee!

The bike was pretty easy to put together, rides well, seems to be well constructed and durable, and like I said: the kids LOVE it! The only glitch we ran into was putting the brakes on the bike was a little difficult, but after we FINALLY got them on and working (or so we thought), they lasted about a month and then seemed to be needing an adjustment. They were not stopping as well as they were, but who knows if we even got them on right. That is why I am giving this biike a 4 star rating. It is certainly sharp looking and pretty easy to put together, but had the one issue with the brakes. But I still highly recommend it!

P.S. Sorry I couldn't find better photos, i'll keep looking, or upload my own.
