My little princess loves to scoot along with this

4

My middle daughter received a scooter for her birthday. That of course means her little sister needed (wanted) to have one too. Since the one was younger, only a little over 3 years old I purchased the **Huffy Disney Princess 6-Inch Scooter **(okay and she wanted it too). My daughter was thrilled when I came home with the **Huffy Disney Princess 6-Inch Scooter.** How could she not be? After a little bit of assemble that did require a couple of tools, she was ready to scoot along and enjoy the princess pictures, pink and purple colors and snazzy handle bar tassles. Mom was happy to let her scoot scoot along on the **Huffy Disney Princess 6-Inch Scooter **because it had nicely cushioned and tapered handle bars as well as a wider, oval shaped food pad (more like a skateboard) that she was able to place her foot on without worrying about it falling off like it does on slimmer scooters designed for older kids. It also has double wheels in the back instead of just one, making it easier to stay on the scooter instead of falling off of it. Not once has she fallen down off the **Huffy Disney Princess 6-Inch Scooter **and hurt herself and it is still one of her favorite outdoor toys. I just wish I could store it upright better with some sort of kick stand or something.

The Huffy Disney Scooter is great!

The Huffy Disney 6-inch Scooter is great! This was given to my four year old for Christmas and it has been a big hit. I love the fact that is has a large footplate and three wheels so that it stands upright on it's own so it will not fall over with your child for no reason. It moves slower than the two wheel scooters which is also another reason that it is a great training scooter for your younger child. It does require assembly but the directions are easy to follow and it does not take much time to assemble. This scooter has provided many hours of play since my daughter recieved it as a gift and there have been no problems with this item. It has held true to the Huffy reputation. My daughter has really enjoyed the handle bar tassel's. She loves to see them blowing around when she is riding her scooter. It comes with a small bag that you can velcro to the handle-bar or your child can use it for other things that zips closed. My daughter has used hers to carry around her "make-up." Over all I would say that this scooter has been a big hit at my house and I would definitley recommend it for others.

great starter scooter

My daughter got this for her second birthday and she absolutely loves it! I know this is a toy for three and up but she has caught on so quickly and rides it all over the house. I love that the scooter has three wheels so she can learn how to ride without always falling down. The frame of the scooter is very durable, which I love. It has a large area for the child to stand. You can also adjust the height of the handle bars as your child grows, which is another great feature. The scooter is very easy for a small child to steer, something I was worried about. The scooter did come unassembled in a box but that was no big deal and it took my husband under 10 minutes to put together. It also comes with a little pouch that straps to the front of the scooter for your child to put stuff in. The only thing that I do not like about the scooter is the pom poms that you can attach to the handle bars. They are attached with a little stick that you put in the handle bars and it hold them in place. My daughter knocked her scooter over once and the one side broke. No big deal really but they could have designed that better. I highly recommend this scooter.

Huffy Disney Princess Scooter is a Good Training- Wheel Scooter

4

Kids enjoy just about anything with wheels and since wheeled- toys can be dangerous, it makes sense to train them on wheeled toys as early and as thoroughly as possible. A good place to start is a scooter; namely, a three- wheeled scooter and one good example is the **Huffy Disney Princess Scooter**, a cute toy for girls. **Scooter Commentary:**The Huffy Disney Princess Scooter is intended as a training scooter for those in the three to five year old age group. This scooter has a large, oval- shaped footplate area, similar in size to a skateboard. It is larger than the average scooter and is intended to keep kids safe as they learn how to use a scooter. Three wheels keep the scooter from tipping, making it a good choice for an introduction to this type of toy. This scooter is designed for girls (or for boys who are very confident in their masculinity), as evidenced by the Disney Princesses theme, the pink, purple, and red coloring scheme, and the pom- pom streamers that extend from the handlebars. The weight limit of this scooter is about 60 pounds, making it just right for girls in the targeted age group. The Huffy Disney Princess Scooter is a steel- framed scooter designed to help youngsters get used to the scooter concept before they take on to the two- wheeled variety. I have two young girls who LOVE Disney Princesses and thus fell in love when they saw this scooter in the toy section of a store, near the bicycles. Scooters are not the safest toys, but I went ahead and purchased this scooter anyway, for my youngest, because of its three- wheel design. Her older sister was getting a two- wheeled scooter and this seemed like a good way to get her accustomed to this type of toy. The Huffy Disney Princess Scooter is sold disassembled with the pieces in a small box. Assembly isn't that difficult because there aren't that many parts. However, the instructions are less than impressive. They don't walk you through the assembly process step by step. Rather, they show a couple of diagrams of the scooter with the different parts pulled apart from the scooter so that consumers can figure out what goes where. Look closely enough and you can figure it out, but it would have been much better if the instructions were step- by- step and if the images were larger. They were hard to read, due to the small print. As for the scooter itself, it is well- designed and my little girl  took to it quickly. I like the way Huffy designed this with such a large footplate and a sturdy, steel frame. The third wheel keeps a child safe and the footplate is large enough that kids can easily put both feet on the board while they coast. They still have to push it themselves but they will get the hang of it in no time. The footplate is skid- resistant, too, for added safety. The Huffy Disney Princess Scooter has adjustable handlebars to get the height just right, but I have an issue with this aspect of the toy. There is almost no clearance space, and because of this, the various pieces attached here are likely to fall off as you attempt to tighten. Another part that annoys me is the flimsy plastic piece that acts as a guard and is placed over the handlebar- adjustment bolt. This piece doesn't lock into place very well and is easily moved around, with just the slightest touch, rendering it useless since the whole idea is to guard the handlebar adjustment bolt and hide it from view.   **Bottom- Line Viewpoint:** Kids love anything with wheels and the Huffy Disney Princess Scooter is a cute, fun scooter that offers safety while preparing youngsters for the day when they decide to graduate to the two- wheeled variety. It has its issues, but it is still a fun toy that encourages physical activity and preps little girls for both the more advanced scooters and other wheeled toys.
