Took the family to Hub51 tonight.  My wife went with some friends last week and has been raving about how great it was.  There is no doubt the Melman brothers have designed Hub 51 for their hipster friends.  Being 38 and with kids and taking our 84 year old Aunt out to dinner with us, we are most certainly not their target diner.

Nonetheless, we enjoyed ourselves and walked away happy customers. I had the pulled pork tacos which I have to say were quite good.  I am not usually a pulled pork kind of guy, but I was very happy that I ordered this dish.  The tacos were soft and less doughy than...

I am clearly not the target market for this restaurant. As the first restaurant executed by the next generation of the Lettuce Entertain You juggernaut, its clearly aimed at a younger, hipper crowd. Frankly, its not the kind of place I would select, but I was meeting a much hipper friend.

The crowd was there to see and be seen, the space was huge, well decorated, and full. The service was fast and friendly, but not pushy.  The menu was all over the place with a slight bent toward Mexican (albeit a rather fancy version), but there are some winners for sure.
