I'm in love with this PC. I can play video games on it and do my school work on it. I love the design of it. It has a great monitor. It is very easy to type with the keyboard. It also comes with a webcam, too. But, it is a bit pricey.

I purchased my HP Dv5 laptop about 2 years ago and I am still using it. The laptop I had was a dell inspiron 1405 and there were significant differences. The laptop itself is an outstanding laptop consisting of 4gb of ram, and your regular specs. It is decent for gameplay, and there are a lot of additional ports that you could use to better utilize the laptop. I personally like the HDMI port where I could link it up to a HDTV and watch movies in high definition. I like the fact that the HP dv5 comes with a remote control and the HP laptop is an outstanding media player. I could turn off/hibernate the laptop from across the room with just a click on the remote control which is fascinating. I use the laptop mostly to do school work, browsing the internet, and watching dvds on it. It comes with the biometrics scanner but I dont really use it since I feel like typing my password is a lot faster since sometimes the biometrics will take a long time to read the fingerprint. One of the major drawbacks of this laptop is that it gets hot really quickyl, especially on the surface where I rest my palms, so i just bought an external keyboard/mouse that works miraccles. After 2 years, my battery life only lasts for 20 minutes, so that is another drawback,

We've just got this HP Pavilion dv5t laptop few months back and I am loving it. It has got amazing display quality and sound is also good. I was a little nervous about the performance because of the operating system being vista but let me assure you, it is fairly fast. The only complain I've is about the mouse rollover area. Its steel like finish makes it a little hard to move around. All in all, I like my laptop and it is surely worth the money.

I love this computer! It has a super long battery life, a lot of space and some special features that I love. It has a built in camera with a little light that shows the camera is on. The computer is really fast and its windows 7 which i think is great. The exterior of the notebook is so cute and easy to clean. I love the keys on it, they are a little bigger than normal and are easy to type on. I dont have any negative things to say about this notebook pc. Its just a great product!

I love this laptop. I got it for an amazing price and I haven't had any issues with it yet. First off, it looks great! I couldn't be any happier with how this computer looks. The HP logo is illuminated and very bright. It also has very good cooling. It barely gets hot, which is a vast improvement from my old laptop that would burn my legs with nearly any use. The webcam is great also! I was worried about how it would perform but it does a fine job. The software that come pre-installed for the webcam is also very nice and allows to change quite a few things with some tweaking. The keyboard is probably my second favorite feature. It's spacious and takes some getting used to if you're used to a compacted keyboard. Once you get used to it though it's great and is very easy to type on. The display and screen is definitely my favorite thing about this computer. It's very bright and crystal clear. The track pad is also very nice, however the two finger scroll is a bit impossible. Not a fan of that. The speakers are the most disappointing feature, they have a "tin can" quality that I cannot get past and I've been using external speakers for everything. All in all though this machine delivers and I would definitely recommend it.

I absolutley love my HP dv5 laptop. I feel like I have entered a new world of technology. My prior computer was a desktop and it was eleven years old. I am not one to give up one something as long as it stills serves it's purpose. However, it had become so slow that I wanted to throw it in the backyard. I am really into photography and my photos and Adobe Photoshop were really eating up my memory and slowing down the computer. I have installed Adope on this laptop and it works so fast it is amazing. Everything works so fast that I am truly pleased. I have an external hard drive, but with 500GB of hard drive memory I am set for a while. I love the keys on the keyboard. THe salesman called them chicklet keys which I thought was funny, but that is what they are like. I love them. I really feel like I am typing much faster now that I am used to them. THe computer has a webcam which is awesome as well. Plus, the price for this computer was amazingly low!!

I'm going to tell you right away, DO NOT BUY THIS LAPTOP. It is a piece of garbage and a huge waste of money. First of all, it is made of cheap plastic, that will crack and break after only a few months time. Some of my keyboard keys have stopped working for no reason, and the trackpad has stopped working entirely, so I have to use a mouse all the time. This thing has terrible battery life, lasting only about an hour. it also gets EXTREMELY hot and i have burned myself numerous times. Not to mention that it frequently turns itself off due to the heat, making gaming of any kind basically impossible. It is way overpriced for the lack of quality or features, and there are better computers you can buy for the same money. It also comes preloaded with so much crappy software and bloatware that you have to spend hours trying to uninstall. I have never regretted a single purchase as much as I have this laptop, and will never, ever purchase an HP again. Buyer beware!

I love my HP Pavilion. It is easy to use and I have had very few problems with it over the past two years since I purchased it new. I have found it easy to connect online at home or using wireless while travelling. The keyboard has been great although I am very careful not to eat around it. I like that I can connect a USB to either side. I can easily upload photos using the memory card slot(although I have had issues with it not reading cards at times but it would work again if I would turn off the computer and restart it again). The main issue I have had with this is the low battery life. With the original battery it would not stay charged much more than a half an hour after it was unplugged. The original battery lasted under a year before I had to replace it and the replacement battery already has come to a life end. It wouldn't be a big deal except I find that replacement batteries cost so much far too much for the quality.

I bought my HP Pavilion DV5 Notebook PC a couple years ago on Black Friday, so I got an incredible deal on it and cannot complain about the price I paid for the quality I got in return. I love the fact that it is considered an "entertainment PC." Using it for pictures, music, tv shows, and movies is great, not only for the quality but the large size of the screen as well. It also comes with a webcam built-in, which I did not find on many comparable notebooks at the time. The entire size is somewhat large so it is heavy and can be awkward to take out in public, but that seems to be the trade-off for owning an entertainment PC. The only major complaint I have is about the battery; the battery life seems to be very short, which is disappointing. And I had an issue where the original battery that came with the notebook went abnormally quick. It was frustrating to have to purchase a new battery so soon after purchasing the notebook. Overall, I think it is a great notebook for entertainment.

I am really attached to my HP. I've had it for two years, which is great since a lot of laptops usually start to die after two years. I haven't had any problems with my HP except for with it's battery. The battery life has gotten less even though I never charged it overnight or more than I was supposed to. It still lasts me about an hour and a half off the plug and it charges really fast (in like an hour) so it's not horrible unless there are no outlets near where you are. I have traveled with this laptop and it is really sturdy, It has a lot of scratches on the cover from being in my laptop bag which is a downside too. But, the memory is really great (it holds a lot of memory) and the picture quality is fantastic! I don't really seem to have many complaint about this laptop at all--it's a little heavy and a little costly but I am happy with this laptop. I wish it was a little lighter but I've had worse! It has an internal webcam too and a microphone so that's pretty convenient too!
