The Howard Johnson Express Inn in Athens met my expectations overall. It's close to downtown, the room was clean, check-in was quick, and the staff seemed friendly. On my last night there, however, there was a strange smell in the bathroom - like cigarette smoke. I'm not really sure where that came from. Aside from that though, I have no complaints. If you just need a reasonably-priced place to sleep for the night, this hotel will do the trick.

Entertainment: Short Drive, Like the University of Georgia, downtown Athens is just a few minutes away by car, and you'll find lots of restaurants, bars, and shops there. It's a fun place.
