How I Met Your Mother Review

How I met your Mother started out as a funny, smart comedy.  The "hook" is that the main character starts each episode out talking to his two children.  He is telling them how he met their mother.  In the first two seasons, this was cute, but it is just stupid now!  Basically this show revolves around Ted, an architect who lives in New York, and his friends.  Marshall has been his friend since college, and they have lived in the same appartment for most of the show.  Marshall is married to Lily, who is an artist/kindergarten teacher.  In my opinion, this is the only redeaming relationship in the show.  They stand by each other, and love each other no matter what.  Barney is a total player, who sleeps with a different woman every night.  Which is actually pretty ironic, since in real life he is gay.  And Robin, who is also a player, and has slept with both Ted and Barney.  This show usually has some comedic elements, but it's confusing to remember who is sleeping with whom!  Not to mention that we really don't care how he met their mother, or even who their mother is at this point.
