HotSlings Stretch Baby Sling/Wrap —

When I was pregnant, I was so excited to be a baby-wearer!  I even purchased a heavier car seat, figuring "well, I won't be transporting baby much in it, as I'll be carrying her in my sling."  So I went on the internet and searched for several days, reading tons of reviews, to find the perfect sling.  I decided that the HotSling would be it.  (I saw a woman wearing an adjustable sling, and was turned off by the amount of fabric that hangs on them).

I used the sizing chart on Hotsling's website, and ordered one up.  When it arrived I was SO excited.  But I go to put it on, and it didn't evne come CLOSE to fitting.  It wouldn't hardly go over my torso, much less allow space for a baby.  I tried using a smaller sized stuffed animal to test it out -- I was right, too small!  By the time I lost enough pregnancy weight to make it possibly fit, my baby was way too big for the infant hold, and I was just put-off by the experience to try any of the other holds.

I was hoping to be able to breastfeed my daughter in the sling, and that would have been impossible even if she did "fit" otherwise.  It is just too awkwardly shaped.  Plus it felt weird having fabric streched over my milk-heavy breasts.

It does come with a nice dvd that explains the different ways to fold it to fit baby in it. And a lot of women love these, but my experience just wasn't positive.  (They also have a limited return policy, so I ended up not being able to return mine.)
