I really enjoy baby-wearing, and was hoping that the Hotsling would work well with my son. I was excited to see they were sold at Target, but they only carry the smaller sizes. From the chart on Hotsling's website, it looked like I would need a 6. I bought one, and found that it was really tight across my shoulder when my 8 month old was in it. I traded a friend for a size 7, and found that was too loose for him.
I think the concept is great. They're very sturdy, and the materials are gorgeous. I have no idea how to do any carry besides a hip carry - it seems like if a baby wasn't sitting up in it, it wouldn't be really snug.
Also, it seems like it works well for small - average size Moms. Plus size Moms, it doesn't seem to adjust well for broader shoulders, or a longer distance to your hip.
I really wanted to like this, but it didn't seem to work well for us. I had much better luck with a ring sling that I could adjust to the length I needed.
