Adorable and Useful!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I bought this product when I had my second child. I was replacing a more well know brand (which doesn't work that great) with this one because it seemed more sleek and practical. It was worth every penny! I was able to wear my second while chasing my first and keep both close while out shopping. It also helped me to avoid using a double stroller as often because I would wear one and stroller the other in our single stroller. I would recommend hotslings - but try to find a store that sells them so you can try it on first. The sizes really, really make a difference and if it isn't a perfect fit it won't work that well.

easiest carrier to use

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I think that the Hotslings baby pouch has to be the easiest baby carrier out there to use! Make sure that it is folded over, slip it on like a sash, put baby in, and go. There are no buckles to snap or rings/rails to adjust. The only big downside to this is that it has to be fitted to the wearer and you can not share it with your significant other. But that is worth it in my opinion since it is so easy to use. It is easy to get a safe position with a newborn, vertical being best of course, but it also works well for older babies. Once baby hits the toddler age and wants to constantly be picked up and put down, this carrier is great since there is nothing to adjust. You can also just stand an...

The first and only sling I'll use...the adjustable one rocks!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

My friend recommended the hotslings brand to me but I was pretty intimidated by the sizing.  I researched a lot of different types but the moment I saw the hotslings adjustable sling it was the one for me.  I should note however that the adjustable sling will not fit everyone.  I'm a bigger girl (between 150 and 200 lbs) and it works for me though.  I get asked about it all the time I swear hotslings should send me cards to hand out!

I mostly use it for quick errands.  I've worn it for about 2 hours without issues though.

Pros:  I love the fabric.  It isn't too hot and it's pretty.  It wasn't expensive. It's adjustable!  There's sev...

great for a newborn

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

I was looking for a safe, secure sling or wrap to carry my newborn around in the house. This was my first try and although I liked it, it did have some down sides. First the up: the fabric is soft and comfortable for baby and mommy. It's small and compact so can be toted anywhere easily when not in use. The prints are attractive! The not so great: When I leaned forward I would myself having to hold the baby in. It sits on one shoulder and thus the baby's weight is unequally supported. After my baby hit 15lbs, I couldn't carry him in it anymore. I do not know how others carry an older baby comfortably. I tried grocery shopping while he napped. He slept peacefully the entire time. Myself on the other hand, I couldn't wait to be finished because my one shoulder ached! So I find this okay for newborns, but not much else. I moved on to a different carrier.

Daughter HATES this!!

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

While I cannot use this product since my daughter absolutely hated it, I can say that it is well made and stylish. I ordered one size which was too small so I ordered the next size up thinking that would solve the problem. My daughter hated the next size as well. Her head was sunk in there and I was afraid that she would suffocate let alone the fact that she just did not look comfy. I think it was too smothering. They say babies are supposed to feel comforted by being so close to the body, but not mine! In my opinion, just carry your baby. They end up being out in front of you that you can't really use both hands together anyway. I couldn't reach around comfortably to even wash dishes. Hope ths helps.

Easy to use and great for on the go!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

We had a Hotslings pouch sling for my middle son.  I found that it was great to use when I was in a hurry and just needed to pop him in a carrier quick.  Some people have complained about loose or tight fitting slings however, if you purchase the proper size, this is not an issue.  Hotslings provides information on their website on finding your correct size.  The first sling I bought was a bit too big so I was able to trade it with someone online for the next size down and we ended up with a perfect fit!  So with that in mind, if you measure properly and still end up with a loose or tight sling, adjust your sizing accordingly.  It's not meant to be super tight or loose.  When you have a properly fitting sling, it's VERY comofrtable for both mama and baby.

Great for an on-the-go mom!

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

While not my favorite baby carrier, my hotslings baby pouch is definitely my go-to carrier when I am out an about.  Hotslings baby pouches are made of high quality material and have safety in mind.  I preferred to use my hotsling for outings as it is compact (not bulky like other carriers) and could easily fit in my diaper bag.  It is quick and easy to put on, which is a must when you have errands to run.  I did not like wearing my hotsling with a newborn as I couldn't quite get the hang of the cradle carry.  In the Hotsling's defense, I haven't really nailed the cradle carry in any baby carrier.  I love my hotsling when baby gets a bit older though and baby has a bit more head control.  It is wonderful for a hip carry when baby gets older.  Hotsling comes in many different prints, some of which are reversible, which is another plus.  Hotslings delivers a consistently high quality product.

Hotslings Baby Pouch - too uncomfortable

Overall
Rated 2 out of 5

When I was researching slings to carry my baby in, one of the main things I was looking for was that was easy to put on. The Hotslings Baby Pouch is pretty easy to put on, especially compared to the wrap I had used before that was a a very long piece of cloth that you had to wrap and tie. When you got to purchase the Hotsling, you actually measure yourself and choose a specific size, as they are fitted to the individual. You basically fold the sling in half and place it over one shoulder and arm, resting it on your opposit hip. You then place the baby in it, almost as you would cradle the baby in your arm, but its in the sling instead. Here's where I ran into trouble. The fabric where the ba...

Decent Sling, but can get super uncomfortable!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I bought my HotSling while I was pregnant.  I was uber excited and tried it on numerous times (I admit, I even put my 20 pound cat in the pouch and walked around to "try" it out).  When baby came, this was one of the first things I reached for and used.  Being a first time mom, I was pretty self-concious about nursing in public and the Hotsling helped relieve my anxiety over being a new, nursing mom.  I put baby in the sling, covered her up (although I didn't really need to) and she went to work, nursing away.  It was a nice way of being extra discrete.  As our baby got older, it became a little more uncomfortable, but much of that has to do with wrestling an ac...

Must - Have!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

When my son was born I had 3 slings given to me; my hotsling a more traditional carrier, and a Lamaze style carrier. The hotsling was definitely my favorite! When I first started using it I had a hard time getting used to it. I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be bunched up on my shoulder or come down over my shoulder smoothly. After I had been using it a while I finally watched the instructional video and duh... should have done that first. It was so much easier and more comfortable after that. I never went to Wal-Mart without it. My son was so much happier in it than in his car seat carrier. It is a little expensive, but very worth it! It was so hard to pick a print because they are all s...

The best baby carrier!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I love this sling and wish I had gotten it with my first son. I tried the carriers but could never adjust them easily or put my baby in them alone! Other slings looked a little dangerous - held by knots or slip rings, too padded, so wrapped around it look impossible to do on the go. But I tried the Hotsling with my second son and absolutely love it!! I wish he wasn't outgrowing it now at almost 3 yrs old!!

I think this is the best because you can put your baby to toddler in the carrier, on your own in seconds and be comfortably on the go! Now, I would not use an infant in it, and I think the instructions may suggest the baby be able to hold his head up before using the sling, but I found th...

Couldn't use it

Overall
Rated 2 out of 5

I wanted to love my Hotsling so badly! When I was pregnant, I was so excited about carrying my baby around and the closeness that would bring.

I took my measurements and determined the size of Hotsling I would need. My measurements fell well within the range of one particular size, so I was not concerned at all about which size to buy. However, when my sling arrived, it was incredibly small and the space where the baby was supposed to go seemed very tight. I was very nervous about how I was going to fit a baby in such a tight space.

A few weeks after my daughter was born, I tried putting her in the sling. She seemed incredibly uncomfortable, and was wailing after 20 seconds or so. I tried ...

Allows me to get work done while still taking care of the baby

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

Hotslings Pouches are wonderful products.  They are the easiest type of baby carrier to use because there are no adjustments that need to be made once you get the correct size.  Once you have the proper fit, you can get a ton of work done because you have 2 hands to do work instead of juggling baby with one hand and trying to do the work with the other hand.  It is also fabulous to have a Hotslings with 2 children because I can wear the baby in the Hotslings Pouch while playing with my older child therefore it reduces sibling rivalry because the older child isn't being displaced while I focus on the baby.  I used my Hotslings Pouch with my first son, up until he was 2 yea...

The best invention I've ever worn!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I wish I had one of these when my oldest was an infant.  Of course, times have changed and new products are always being introduced.  I was an avid user of a front pouch carrier - even when it killed my back.  After having a near mishap with the front carrier, I knew it was time for a change.

I bought this sling when my fifth child was about a month old.  He LOVED it!  He loved being cuddled and close to me.  I was able to get things done around the house and go about my shopping in the stores or attending to my other children with two hands.

If he had to nurse, it was easy for him to do that too.

Although this sling has to be fitted to the regular user, my husband had no problems with wearing our son.  I'm much shorter and much thinner than my husband.

I wore my son until he was 2 and occassionally put my daughter into it until she was 2 1/2.

Great way to carry baby!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

My little one was a very finicky baby and the only way he would be calm is if someone carried him. I began my journey of baby-wearing with a hot sling.  I liked how easy it was to figure out size you are (measuring cross body from shoulder to opposite hip) and how easily they were to find. There is a huge selection of sizes and colors to choose from.  Once I received this and tried it, it helped in so many ways! My little one was a happy little guy and I was happy to have my hands freed up a bit.  I never felt he was going to fall out (I even jumped up and down softly to prove to curious bystanders who ask if I was scared he wasn't in securely). He was always secured inside an...
