I have to say, I had high hopes for the Ariston.  It has lots of features only found on high end models like stainless steel tub and nylon racks... nice LOOKING dishwasher.  That is about where it ends. I got it cheap on clearance - that should have been the first clue.  It was cracked by the base, but not incredibly noticible, so I ignored it.  It never really washed dishes well, although we have hard water.  It helped to use the rinse aid and make sure to keep the drain trap clear (although the trap caused an odor).  The racks include a fold down component that kept falling down, and the handle broke off the utilensil holder. About 18 months after purchase, the electronic controls died.  Wow.  Stay away.

I absolutely love this dishwasher, I had never used one before, but this is soooo easy to use, and does a tremendous job. Everything is just sparkling when it comes out. I have nothing but praise for this little lifesaver!! I will never do dishes in the sink again. LOL
